Mind cost need to go for LS attacks. No other combat profession has mind costs, and neither should jedi. Keeping mind costs for healing is fine.
i call BS on grounds of personal experience, i was using melee hit and melee strike and i was using mind strength as a pikeman. dont know if tis a bug or "working as intended" but i definatly was suing mind for attacks

Yeah I think everything sums to costs.
If we could mantain a Force Bar after doing what any oder profession do (Lets give an example of killing3 lvl 82 NPCs, no elite), this would be in the 'No problem' area. As I see it, if you pickup a ranged profession, and modify your weapon so it doesnt use up much action or mind when using specials and mix it with some foods, plus healing (be it adding a healing class or stimpacks), killing those3 lvl 82 npcs will feel like a breeze.. even if your mind and action is low, you just need to /sit and you are good to go.
As a Jedi, killing those 3 lvl 82 is not impossible, but is not a breeze either. Sure your force may stay above 50%, but it regens really slow, and the fact that sabers cant be upgraded/modified to use the less action, mind and force possible doesnt help either; butif you keep killing lvl 82 npcs, assuming you use force heal and any other force power to increase your defense/armor, after X time, your force bar will bedepleted, and if you dont have channel you will have to /sit and wait for a while (5-10 mins) for it to come back again.
I dont think the force bar should go, but more like rework costs and how it works. Like I said in my previous post, Enhancer/Powers and Healer should see the force bar as the base of their attacks/defenses/strategy, while Lightsaber and Defender should see it as just an extra pool for certain attacks/specials.
The fact that swinging your saber around uses action, mind and force confuses me... Aren't Jedi supposued to be strong warriors?, yet they get tired really easy ![]()
