Thread: Experimentation Single Point at a Time or all at Once?

I understand the theory of using 6 points at a time but since most feel the efficiency line of sabers is most important and it takes 8 points to cap, shouldn't you do 7 points on the first roll?

hey, I wouldn't doubt the devs screwed something up with the changing if individual profession buffs for crafting.Honestly, there wasnt' anything wrong with the single buff system, but yet the devs go overboard as usual (not sure if that is the problem or not though). saber crafting may be screwed as well. The only saber I crafted in the last two weeks was a training saber. That was for speed testing and I wasn't trying to get any amazing success though.

Anyway, the 6 point system was answering the post....if anyone is having crafting issues, well then that's another issue altogether. If only a few people are having problems, then that needs to be /bugged and sent to the devs. I may log in and see if I can't get any amazings.....probably will do it tomorrow as I'm getting ready for some football

Oh yeah, you won't happen to be on bria would you.....they have been having some major problems that last couple of patches. I logged my bria toon couple days ago and the chat bubble glitch that was on CU-TC is a back. The one where the chat bubbles keep bouncing up and down or overlaps the players name and rank. I'm pretty sure it was only a problem with bria because I didn't experience it on any other server.

So I say check with your server first and see if others are having the same problem, then once that's confirmed, check with the rest of the servers...if there is a problem there, then devs screwed something up.

I'm an experienced crafter, my alt is a weaponsmith. In order to save one point in maxing out a line you need the equivalent of a 6 point amazing. Since you want a saber crafted to its maximum and will junk the rest, start with a 6 point experiment in the line you want to max out, or raise to the highest level. If you hit an amazing you have the results of 7 greats. Going one point at a time is fine on stuff when using looted items, it minimizes the damage of a bad roll, but you also need more amazings to get the same reward.

Biggest bang for the buck is a 6 point amazing on first roll, I destroy anything that doesnt get this result.

when we built ours (guildies) we did this

In an experimetation city.....

high end crafting station

high end tool

put on LS crafting suit (+21)

food and drink up (crafting foods)

then craft

I did 100% all at once and pulled an amazing success...that's with 8 on efficiency 4 on speed (12 exp points with suit)

I have a saber with eth same stats as a guildie who's saber is already over 700 dps...I just dont have teh pearls he does so MY dps is lower....but when i get the pearls mine will be up there too...I think with nearly perfaect pearls we could get the dps over 800...not entirly sure....seems 800dps are pre CU sabers only...??

The ws advices are great to read. Took to me months to learn how to craft my best saber. I do the same but with 8 exp point on the first roll.

with flurrian resources for saber (start with 28%)you can cap in efficiency with 10 exp points with only great success. Facts are that you can achieve the same goal (sac95 - fc48) with 9 points if you have 1 amazing success among them on a large roll. That's why I roll 8 exp points till I get amazing destroying everything is not amazing at the first roll.

With the first 8-point roll and amazing success I go with the next point in efficiency and the saber is capped there. At this point I have other 3 exp points (12pt suit) to put either in dmg or in spd.

Usually I craft sabers 9eff-3spd or 9eff-3dmg in pairs so (having 2 adks) I can switch among them. Lately I came to the point that the 9eff-3dmg is better because with higher max damage you get extra elemental's damage points and extra wounds. In my case I can go fro 676max damage (speed crated saber) to 683 max damage and the elemental damage goes from 202 to 204(sunnrinder's destiny crystal) with a small benefit. About the small wounds you have with 9eff-3dmg I can say that a BH encouter lasted 15min and he had over 90 points of wounds, not bad at all ...

About getting amazing succcess. I craft sabers with the force assembly tree. I almost always get great success or amazing in the assembly proccess. The amazing on experimentation is rare even with drinks/inspiration/research centers. I think I destroy 15-20 sabers before I have the first roll with amazing success. This means that I have to craft sabers and wait for my stomach ...

Hope this help
