Thread: The Secret to eliminating BH from your life ( it's not staying off the terms either)

Or you could really try to stay off the terminals if you don't want XP loss. It's not hard.
All the Mdefs can try what I did last week...
I was standing just behind my own city's shuttleport talking to a few guildies, and we notice and Buffed and Fully fed Ithorian get off the shuttle.
I flicked my Aura - valor - infusion macro on and carried on chatting to my guildies, as he ran over and opened fire on me I simply /sigh at him and carry on chatting to my guildmates - In fact every single one of then completely ignored him.
After about 15 mins of shooting me and flinging Poo at me he gave up, shuttled out and sent me a /tell that simply said "Lame"
I didnt send a tall back, tho it was tempting.
I dont do it to deliberately undermine the BH, its just that I am fed up with them interupting my gameplay.
I have a lot of time to waste in SWG now with nothing really left to do, so if they are going to come for me, they will have to wait till i have finished talking or doing what im doing.
I understand that there are BH out there that could really take advantage of me while im doing this, but luckily for me thats only about 3% of the BH's out there.
It is true. Bounty hunters don't find out the name until they are on the same planet as you. But the mission will hold for 3 days.
And to the OP. Fleeing is expected. However if you escape my bh, you should expect to see me again. I'lll just track you for a while and find another oportunity to attack. Patience is one of the key weapons for a bounty hunter.
If you always run from a BH you wont get any PvP experienced and when the FRS comes out you will be at the bottom rung
BH's are just practice now

Thats the thing ive found, getting so many visits i cba to fight anymore. Ill usually fight the BH i know but otherwise its just a bore.
what i normally do now is cloak, get ready.. go back incap them then cloak again and walk away with a tell saying "dont come back"

If you kill them once, they will always come back.
Evade them at all cost bycloak, force run, log in water/house etc.....
They won't waste thier time on you again.
True story.
P.S. Make sure to sit AFK in your house on occasion too, that will really get your name crossed out of thier book.
Spoken like a true noob.
If you've ever played a BH, you would understand it's the challenge that brings them back, again, and again.
Waste thier time once, and they more than likely, unless thier just plain dumb, won't do it again.
BUT, if you insist, please, keep being thier content, so I don't have to be.
Hmm, really a noob?, ok kiddie. As a MLS, MDef a BH cannot last 5 minutes therefore They avoid me now as a most part. This Root and cloak run leads into nerfing, so kiddie please continue.
As a Bh/CM you are not at a house or a safe spot 24/7. Futhermore using water or any structure to avoid combat could be consider as an exploit.

isnt that true?

It's been my experience that most BH's have about a 15min attention span. If you get into your house or cloak/force run, they leave. If they get yoru mission again, they will remember and then just drop it.
If you honestly can say, "expect to see me again", well that's great. I still have cloak/FR3/stasis. I can rinse and repeat as often as needed. You're the one hunting me for money, not the other way around. For every second you spend trying to ride after me after I've cloaked and FR3ed.......you're just wasting more money.

But it's not. So let's just cut the BS before it gets to deep. Most of the BH/MCM's that come for me seem to have no problem spamming fire/poison/debuffs on me while I'm cloaked. So let's not start talking about exploits, that's an argument most MCM's can't win.

The last few times my jedi have been hunted, if the fight did not start in 10 min of them getting to me, they dropped the mission. I think the NPC missions have gotten them use to making the big pay fast and if they can't kill you fast they seem to leave. But that being said one of my jedi is a cloker. My other jedi i was in my house and went afk to go to the little girls room and when i can back i had an ugly /tell about not being a fighter. /giggles They always try to catch you with your pants down.....
/ROFL
Eve'lyn Reign (CIA)
I had the same thing happen. I went afk in my house, had to tend to nature, and when i got back had a tell. The BH seemed a bit irate that I was afk, and dropped my mission. If there was a benefit to actually fight them, I would. But there is absolutely NO benefit in standing and fighting. I get my PVP from dueling friends, and participating in the GCW. Make it worth my time, and I'll fight the pieces of trash. Until then, root/run/cloak.
