Im mdef and I solo krayts and lvl 111 npc's on dant almost all the time now, i have yet to use ai on them, to me its just a waste of 1k force, im you plan it smart you dont need to use it for stuff like that. if it didnt take 1k force i probably would though but I find it takes a lot less force to use all my defense and buff powers to heal the damage than it does to just use ai.
The only time I've used AI recently was to do the CL500s outside the Jedi enclave, needed a holo to do them both in one go....guess that's nerfed now, as they hit for 32K damage, so without it, you're screwed in one hit if they get anywhere near you. Never got any good loot from them mind....

see he spinned that real well! but will rifleman still be able to solo krayts??? i say this cause i do ok with Mpistols/Mcards been doing alot of krayt hunting.. funny i see alot of good Mrifleman doing those CL 90 buggers all to often solo. while anything above cl84 im toast.
Oh i dont know theres something a little upsetting that we cant even get the crap we need for our prof anymore without getting mugged by a rifleman,BH or super tank melee loot **edit**!
Movement Buffs and Snares stacking in combat
In publish 24, we will be making some changes to the way movement buffs and snares stack in combat.
- What is changing? We will be changing the way movement buffs and snares stack in combat. "Stacking" buffs means that multiple effects of the same type are used (or applied) in combat to cause a greater effect.
- Who is affected by this change? This change will affect anyone who uses movement buffs and/or snares.
- Why is this changing? This will address current gameplay issues and will prepare the way for future Squad Leader enhancements.
- Can I get some more specific details? The current situation: Currently movement-buffs and snares stack in combat. A basic example of what this means is that if you get a movement-buff to double your speed and then get "snared" in combat to half your speed, your movement will be reduced back to your normal movement speed. Basically, a movement buff cancels a snare and a snare cancels a movement buff. Many types of movement buffs and snares can be used together to cause additional effects. For example, two or more movement buffs will "stack" to cause you to go very fast and multiple snares will stack and can prevent a player from moving. Additionally, snares will stack to quickly prevent all movement. A single snare would cut your movement in half another snare to reduce your movement in half would give you a movement of zero.
A single snare would cut your movement in half another snare to reduce your movement in half would give you a movement of zero.
A single snare would cut your movement in half another snare to reduce your movement in half would give you a movement of zero.

Accually you wont move at all, cause its like a double snare = root. Put 2 ais on at the same time and you wont move at all.
actually no
the worst snare will be applied.
not both!
The AI snare is more like armor encumberance and affects your base rate. So if you move at 50% your normal runnung speed with AI.. that becomes your new base rate of movement. Now snares are applied.. so with AI active and you get hit with a 1/2 snare you would move at 25% of your normal running speed.
The other scenario is that if you are at a normal base rate running speed and get hit with a 1/4 snare you would move at 75% your normal speed.... then you get hit with a 1/2 snare... the one half snare would override the 1/4 snare and you would move at 50%.
