Yes, he went on to explain how all melee professions were being removed from the game and Jedi would be a playable profession from start. There had also been a few other "papers" Iv'e come across which also describe the current events although I had read it about 12-14 months ago.
This is no secret, we've know about this for some time. I had even stumbled upon someone several months ago at a sushi joint in Seattle that expressed too much about the changes instore...how accruate were they? It really doesn't matter.
In the end, I will play until it's no longer fun. I did not choose a Jedi to be "uber" nor to create any desire to flex an e-peen. I welcome this although I feel the mad rush for everyone wanting to play a JEdi is going to be a serious disruption to the Starwars experiance.
*note: KotOR2 you can progress very far as a Jedi without getting a lightsaber. I am curious to see this new character skillsheet deisgn...
