Actually, here you go. The first bit of spam is using the exploit totoss out fast Power Attacks. The spam below that a bit shows NORMAL Power Attacks at apprximately 6 seconds. No other attacks being used, but this does definitely show the slowness. Just thought I would back you up with your findings. Requires no macros really, just an understanding of a broken aspect of how combat works. Sad, but it does not only affect Jedi. This is purely a combat thing so it can be exploited with many professions. I will PM Tiggs and all others I can think of also. I personally am tired of seeing this, as long as a few other bugs used intentionally like this on my server; I'm sure all of you are too.
BINGO.
Yeah I see the Problem with the speed at which this can happen.I don't think it's an exploit more than it's a /bug. If everyone considered a /bug as an exploit, then this game is full of nothing but exploiters.
However, I really don't think it's one of the top of the list issues. There are certainly more important issues than this one. For one thing, being able to do this is not game breaking becuase even if you do it, you still can be beat all the same if you didn't do it. It's not an instant I win button. It also doesn't give anyone an unfair advantage because it's something that can be done even if you don't know how to reproduce it. I mean in the course of one fight, I may do it4 or 5times without even trying....but I rarely use power attack though.
Honestly though, do we really want to see combat slowed down anymore than it is. I feel that if this was fixed, it would have to be done in such a way that every single combination you could execute would slow down. Possibly to the point where you may only be able to do no more than 4 "separate" moves in a 10 second timespan.
Also, it looks to me that the attacks are happening every 3.5 seconds. It's not 4 in 10 seconds because if you count the first power attack in the 10 second time, you are not accounting for the warmup it took in order to do that first power attack. So it's probably more like 4 moves in 12 - 13 seconds. You have account for warmup, execution and cooldown for all4 moves because that's the real time it takes to successfully execute 4 moves in a given time period.
Lastly, I would rather see moves miss more rather than slow attack speed down. AT least for me, the more you slow down attack speed, the more boring combat is. Noone wants to have to wait 6 seconds to execute one move in a fast paced game like this. It's not as fast as FPS, but it's not as slow as strategy game either. Right now, I have to say that I enjoy the speed of combat the way it is now...I mean pre-CU we could do the most powerful attacks at once per second and that was game breaking, but post-Cu, you can't do the most powerful move at once per second. The weaker moves can be done once per second (not game breaking), but not the most powerful moves due to the warmups and cool downs (for power attack anyway). I mean, even using this /bug, it takes at least 2 seconds to even do the move no matter how fast you are (1 second for warmup, maybe a fraction more and another fraction of a second to 1 second to execute the move).
For those high damaging specials, if they all have either a warmup bar or a 4 - 5 second cool down, then you can never do them once per second. Comparing pre-cu speed to post-cu speed, I'd have to say the devs have found a nice medium, not too fast, not too slow.
Maybe its a dumb suggestion, but wouldnt the come back of combat queue prevent all this stuff ?
no possibilitis to spam the same 3 attacks in one second, and the true use of speed mods ...

Oh my gawd, I hope Jalia is going to get a ban the nasty exploiter!
/hugs
Heres a sugestion to all:
Stop trying to figure out how to exploit and try just playing the GAME! After all, its not a way of life, but just a game.
I know there are people out there that spend hours upon hours trying to figure these exploits out. These people are total arse holes in my oppinion.
