Lovely that you left for WoW.. is it too much to ask that you take your negativity with you?
Seriously, you quit the game so your 'feedback'is of little relavance whatsoever.
Go on, flame me, you know im right.

Im playing City of Heroes at the moment. Its a really fun game to play, simple and very fun orientated, the PVE content is spot on and the team work involved in taking down certain missions and enemies is great.
However CoH, and no other game I've looked at has come close to the depth and complexity as SWG. SWG is unrivalled in these aspects of the game and that is something to be proud of. Its for these reasons I think I keep my account running even though I dont really play at the moment. Im hoping the new expansion, the new FRS or of course the next Jedi Revamp to bring something stable and new to the game.
The thing with SWG is the constant changes to professions. I can understand that its not an amazing deal to say Master Rifleman. If something gets changed a normal profession could change that template very quickly. However for Jedi changes, even considering how much easier things have gotten since the CU it is indeed a total boring pain to change your Jedi template, especially if you are in the negative XP. I wish they could just revamp jedi and stick with it.
I used my respec to go for a fun template which includes Cloak. Now i hear they are nerfing cloak, the details are unclear but I know now if they make it so that the action of channeling force while cloaked decloaks you, then cloak is now worthless to me. i dont care about interacting and things, I just care about maintaining cloak for longer than 2 mins in a busy area. Now if they do this, im stuck with a template I dont want and faced with teh very boring task of grinding out of it.
Im not doing it,if I could be certain they would make up there minds and change nothing else I would but whos to say next week they arent going to say "hmmm maybe we were a bit harsh, lets change cloak back to how it was" lol, its a mess.
Please be decisive Devs and let us know where we stand, I know changes are necessary for a ever changing MMORPG but constant drastic changes to peoples templates that take a long and boring time to change is harsh.
I hate to say it but if they implement loads of changes that effectively make my template totally different to the oneI respecced into then im not going to start playing again without anotehr respec. Im not grinding again, i did enough of that for a liftetime to get my Jedi, the only thing that got me through that was saying to myself over and over "Comon, just one more voritor tracker!, comon just another and another, comon its the LAST GRIND ILL EVER DO!"

No doubt SW:G has a ton of potential, and a lot of basics for that potential is already in place. I think the main reason why 4,000,000 Subscribers (according to blizzard, and really, we have no reason not to believe them.) are paying for WoW is because the developers have proven to be on the ball, their budget is big, and they are adding content everytime they patch, and the squash lots of bugs.
Here, our development team makes excuses about why Marks are still spawning in oceans after 2 years, about how it is so "tricky" to fix this or that. About why Pearls were removed etc.
I think a lot of people playing WoW right now are people that were soured on playing an SOE game. SOE is totally known for lying & cheating their customers. Whether it's EQ, EQ2, SW:G or any other game they're producing or running. SOE has a terrible reputation in the MMORPG business.
Blizzard on the other hand, has a great reputation, and so their population grows.
A lot of people as evidenced by Blizzard's sales are willing to wait for content, if they see steady progess and are not lied to.. And I think that is proven true with WoW.
Hell, Even their BUGS are more fun than our working content. Did you guys hear about the "plague?" that broke out? SW:G really needs some "bugs" like that.
Though Pex says he is working on some fun events for after the expansion is released. I just hope they are on a really epic scale. We desperately need a reason to like this game, and this development team again, even if it's just Pex in the Darth Vader Suit spawning imperials and killing Jedi every week or so.
Just look at Blizzard, They PAY for In-house game testers. SOE Relies solely on Beta Testers who volunteer to do all their work for them. The difference between the two companies is just so obvious, and so are the results.
Those Guys over at Blizzard are raking in the $$$$$. The kind of cash flow that they are being infused with is just mind-boggling.

I've neveractually played WoW as it never really caught my interests. I know a few people who left SWG for WoW and came back pretty fast or just stopped playing both.SWG has had it's ups and downs for me butthere is something about it that keeps me coming back aside from the people.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't it true that you cannot post on these forumsif you have an inactive SWG account?
If thats correct thenSOE does not careif you come back as your still paying your $15.00 to keep your account active.
It's like paying for a gym membrship and never going. Its like wiping before you poop. Just doesn't make any sense.
Also, can't say I dissagree with your post though.

QFE.
I read about that plague "bug" and was just in awe. You hit the nail on the head, even the bugs exude quality simply because the game mechanics are so dynamic. I would be seriously tempted by WoW were it not for the fact that it is so popular (an odd point of view but I like the more homely feel of SWG), plus I don't like the genre (goblins, mysticism, etc)
Everything you've said is right on the money.
