You have the SAME XP to lose as you would before this patch comes into play- all 3 of your BHs cant DB you for three times the loss.

If one gets the DB all 3 then lose the mission.

How any of you think this is going to change the way gank squads happen is beyond me

Now you have a BH and a bunch of other people vs you and a bunch of other people... hopefully soon it will be a limit of 5 people against only you.. but those 5 people have to aggree on you, have to agree who gets DB, and agree to get together and find you.

BH gank squads serve no purpose as payouts only go to one BH. Why would the other BHs want to go with them? Sure every once in a while you'll find BHs who want to go after Jedi- but lets face it... that will be rare.

I was refering to him having less to lose than me, not a change in xp loss overall. I have more SP in FS skills so I have a whole lot more to lose than he does on one DB.

They are only wanting to kill you the once anyways. But using 5 BHs to insure you have no chance of winning.

The change wont be much i the form of the BH gank squads, it will be in that we have no way to group to defend ourselves our friends

Please! Dont try and make it sound like its hard to do. Ever go group hunting? Everyone shows up..calls out a direction and type of target..everyone spends 5min getting the missions then they all go hunt...works the same way. its not hard, it is already done by BHs, and it has already been made clear by many that it will contiunue. cover your eyes if you like,it wont be going away.

I will answer your question: “why is this (xp loss) a big deal”. It is a big deal because the path to a Jedi template lies through mindless solo combat grinding 30,000,000+ Jedi experience points, gained at 20%-30% of the rate other profs get. Anytime you die, you add whatever xp you lost to that 30,000,000, and the time spent gaining it back as well. This time must be spent alone and away from other players, avoiding much of the better content in the game, or it is increased through loss.

Now, it is another question entirely as to whether it is better to just take the BH hit, and get back to work, or spend time running and hiding. I tend to agree that if you just take the hit, earn it back in a buff or two, and move on, you’re going to progress more quickly than running and hiding, but that doesn’t make the xp loss suck any less.

I've always tried to act like a Jedi. I don't usually keep my lightsaber equiped, I don't duel at Starports (I don't even duel at all). I never wanted to be an alpha PVP monster, I wanted to be a dark Jedi. For better or worse, I got to play what I wanted. I don't think anything is going to change for me in the new revamp, in fact I'm excited about it.

qfe same here well besides the dueling part my bunker house is looking to damn good not to have duels in the lower room

I sometimes don't have my saber equiped. It really depends on how busy I am, and how I feel.

for me if its not my saber its a laser rifle lol o and black clothing

to be honest the only thing im worried about is the lag if its gonna be an fps kinda game they need to fix the lag because the ppl on dial up ect wont stand a chance. (btw i have bb so no flameing and calling me a dail up noob lol)
