=(

tanks rocked. Even for the jedi believe it or not he was a good thing even as a BH cor. Cause he naturally attempted to get some common ground or compromise in his directions. He didnt want BH to be "beat all winners". He wanted them to be a challenge that could be afuncomplimentto theend game by both sides; And always apossible threat that could not be ignored as trivial. Hope he doesnt get forgotten in the future.

Excellent correspondant. I didn't always agree with him, but he did a damn fine job for his profession.

Unfortunately, the Devs are in "nerf the jedi mode" right now, BH's are at the height of their power.

It's like an end of an era. Tanks always made me wonder what the state of jedi would be like today if we had someone like him.

You Bounty Hunters should be proud, he's one of a kind.

I really think term limits are a mistake, if that is what this really is, as evidenced by the job Tanks has done.

I was an MBH before Tanks took that position. I remember watching his first few days and thinking how deeply over his head he was. It's been refreshing and inspirational to watch him and what he has done with that position since then. In watching him grow, progress, learn, and become the leader he has become, it's clear to me that it takes time, a lot of time, to achieve what Tanks had achieved. His loss is a hard loss as a representative to both his profession and the player base as a whole. In my mind, that we have to start over again is a dramatic hit to us all, to those of us in the jedi profession, as well as the Bounty Hunters. Granted the new person will likely have new energy and new views, but they have to climb to a place where Tanks has already been. And that takes a considerable amount of time. Time that an artificial term limit likely will not grant if it is held to.

Did anyone notice that Tanks filled in here, and helped us, when our own correspondents were eitehr out or changing? And not just Tanks, we had other older correspondents pitch in too. Can a new person do that, and do it well?

I alsowonder at the timing. Our professions, Jedi and Bounty Hunter are inexorably joined, and in a state of flux. Is the timing of his retirement a message? Why now?

Regardless of the message, reasons behind the timing, or likely, lack thereof, Tanks grew to be one of the best and for that: /sabersalute Tanks.

/salute Tanks; Well life is about change. Hope things go well for him.

/bow4 Tanks; Take care!

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
Thanks SOE! The CU and NGE gave me my life back. Thanks! Bitterness is the taste of love lost, a tear of acid that burns the heart.
Long gone, in sorrow of song. Stand I make to deliver hope with twisted temporal past, for the ripples in time distort what affects when. Prowlies a must see Clicky!
As a dreamer I sing to the sea and imagine the possibilities and potential this game could free, but when I get home a sad sight there be. A lost fool, for once was is gone, what could've been to never be, and the angel of my heart to be forgotten, locked away by the key of SOE.

Good riddence, he was far from "level headed" unless you mean he can calmly come onto our forums and tell us that he agrees with what we say and then go over to the BH forums and support or come up with ridiculous nerfs to the Jedi profession.

I think "extremely biased" and "interested only in the power of his own profession" would be a good description for Tanks. Seriously check out his post history, even when he post in the Jedi section it wasn't for our benefit, although he might make it seem that way. About the only Jedi issue he agreed with was that Powers is gimped. But I'm sure that was only lip service anyway.

Bac is a good example of a level headed Corro. Seriously. He has not asked for a single BH nerf or nerf to any other profession, only Jedi improvements and bug fixes I am 99% sure of that.

Give me a break, you couldn't be more off the mark if you tried.

What Tanks said about Master Powers in our very own Focus thread on it demonstrated insight of the profession (I'm talking about Master Powers, not "Jedi") - which is a damn sight more than we have got out of our MLS/MDef correspondant who is completely blinkered to anything outside of his own template.

Premium Pearls? Modified speed bug? He's all over that like a rash - but us poor Powers, Healers and to a lesser extent Enhancers (now that MEnh is rapidly becoming a FOTM replacement for MDef) get diddly squat. That's a cast iron fact - just do a search for his posts.

I've got nothing against our correspondant as a person, but he has zero interest in persuing any issues that don't directly affect his FOTM template. Fact.

Tanks, whilst technically "the enemy", went out of his way to contribute in a way that clearly showed he had some insight into MPowers. He didn't have to do this, and it didn't benefit BHs in the slightest (in fact, if the Devs had taken on board his suggestions they'd be even more worse off than they are at the moment).
