Yes, and I'm sure you believe that Iraq posed an "imminent" threat to the United States a year ago, too.

The developers have done nothing to earn crediblity; they've made promises and broken them at a rate that would cause most politicians to blush.

>LOL, your an idiot.

This coming from someone who quotes an entire message :=)

I think I'm probably middle ground, probably more mildly miffed than anything...

Having a developed quest system for a player once they have opened the Jedi slot is in my opinion more important than having an elaborate quest system for unlocking.

>For another how does it limit people more than just logging hour after hour grinding a dozen
>professions?

Easy. Take Everquest for example, chanter epic, Plate of Fear. Log in, check to see if spawn is up, if it isn't, guess what, zero progress for the day. In SWG, login, grind a few boxes closer to a mastery, that is progress that is not limited by having to search for a rare spawn that might only pop when people are at work, asleep, etc...

>For another what makes you think George has ANY clue how this game is played?

What makes you so sure the developers have any clue how this game is played :=)

>Also, sucks that you dropped BH so far into it and then had to master it as a holo prof. Man, I would've finished it b4 I went for master TK

Was a tough call, but keep in mind, at the time:
-No Vehicles
-No Investigation XP change

Conservative estimates at the time were 186 hours to finish Inv 3 and 4. I should finish the entire tree now in much less. It was a gamble that didn't pay off lol.

I've heard about the Epic quests in EQ. I get this vague feeling the new method will be MUCH harder then the current. Which is what the majority seem to ask for though- less Jedi in the game?

The irony I find is in the fact SOE gave everyone a holocron (or two!) over Xmas, and then within a month later changes the Jedi system. Just enough time that 75%+ of my friends are well onto their third or silent holocron profession. The fact so many holocrons appeared so quickly over XMas only indicated to me that SOE wants a LOT MORE Jedi on the servers.

Lucas arts new site for SWGis really nice too, btw. Everyone should visit it. The number of Jedi movies and references is very high.

I see hints that, yes, this game is aiming for a 'high end content' of Jedi Wars. I'm not really sure that's a bad thing though. The jury is still out.

You really think that George Lucas has a big hand in this game?

What bad press are you referring to?

Thanks to Vasarian Brandy I am now the town drunk and ONLY go to the AA meetings to brag about the killing spree done during my drunken rage.

If George Lucas even cared bout the game... he would've said no to Jedi as a profession for the OT... or atleast give them the rights to a Prequel timeline where a jedi profession would at least fit in...

I know just how you feel dood. It's like, I'm sitting in the movie theater watching Lord of the Rings and this fat guys sits in front of me and pulls a big bag of Doritoes out of his backpack and starts gnawing on them, crackling the bag the whole time. I mean, it's bad enough that I'm feezing my balls off way up in the nosebleeds seats because I didn't get in line the week before like those other dorks, now I gotta watch the show half reflected off the fat guy's balding head?

Lemme tellya, that Tolkien dood got one very STRONGLY worded letter from me too!

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

There is no change that SOE could make that would not cause people to protest. Whether they are nerfing the overpowered or giving love to the under developed, whether the change is small, or far reaching, someone somewhere will complain, protest, call it a 'slap in the face' and start a petition.

Removal of the current Force Sensitive Slot Unlocking Method – Users will no longer be required to master 4+N professions, N being a random profession that the user must guess correctly. Instead, a quest based system will be put into place that does not require anyone to change their profession.

--

it has not been said anywhere that a quest based system will be put into place that DOES NOT REQUIRE ANYONE TO CHANGE THEIR PROFESSION

not a soul has said anything of the sort, only that they will be using a quest based system

how do you know it will not be quests that require you to master a professoin in order to complete it?

i would not send this letter since it is not accurate

The Devs stated a long time ago that they can,and will, change the method of unlocking if needed.

More and more Jedi have been unlocking, so they're changing it. Why are you so surprised?

I'm surprised it took them this long hehe.

I feel for you, buddy - I really do. Now please go and get a life - George Lucas has a lot more important things to worry about, and so should you!

This is a game - please keep it in perspective - most games give you between 25 - 50 hours of enjoyment - SWG has given you a great deal more. Keep things in perspective.

Go and write some letters about poverty, AIDS, destruction of the environment or something that is actually REALLY important.

Sorry, Lucas is too busy ruining another Star Wars movie with ridiculous amounts of special effects and lousy acting.
