GDI, you post the same thing I'm ranting on while I'm writing it.

With the DMCA, information is a tricky matter. Under current law, it is possible that it could happen. I'm not saying that it's very likely, unless they have more concrete proof, but it is nonetheless possible. Also, as a computer engineer, I have a moral obligation to attempt to stop such behavior. The ACM code of ethics is a very good guide.
