shut up, your wrong, that's all there is to it.
lets say your taking 700 dmg per every 3.5 secconds, with your idea, you get to die - with mine, you get to live. And getting hit for 700 dmg every 3.5 secconds isint uncommon for mdefenders - lets say there's 2 people on you, you'll take that much dmg with no doubt. or you'll take that much from another jedi, and toggling fr2 takes an arseload of force, it's a waste.

first of all dont tell me to shut up 2nd of all if your taking 700 points of damg u need to use kd recovery 3rd you shouldnt use fr while fighting 4th why do u keep bringing up fr 5th imp force supresion will let u stay on top of your target so you dont keep geting target is out of range 6th u need to learn how to play 7th u get pawned alot dont u i bet u even waste sp on cloak so u can run and hide
I'm not a cloaker, although I can spell "you." I dont get "pawned" at all, I'm one of the highest ranked pvpers on my server. and taking 700 dp/3 secconds isint alot, even while standing.
Pre-pub 9 here.
MDEf
LS 0404
Ench 4004
Heal 4100
I enjoy being able to wade into the masses and slash to the left and right breaking armor while my guildies follow up behind me blazing away. I use foods, doc buffs, drink and rarely a little spice. I use heal 4xxx because I do know how to use my toon. I've been doing it for over a year and a 1/2 now. It all depends on how you play and what style you use. If fightin one vs. one then heal 4xxx may not be needed. But when charging that enemy base that is packed to the gills with enemy player toons you will need it.
There is no need to snap at one another on these boards. We have the BH screaming for our blood (read as NERF) every moment of every day. So stop tryin to see who's sabre is bigger and play the game the way you want to.

How is he wrong? I don't even have 3000 in healer and I do VERY well. Its all based on your template, playstyle and skill, you don't need 1.5k heals, and if you're like me, you don't need 3000 healer either. Not only that, a lot of it is based off of your saber stats, some can pull it off, most people can't, just because you runa hypothetical situation that leaves out very important variables doesn't mean you're right. In regards to your statement, if you'e Mdef getting ganked all you have to do is hit an AI and run back into the group (you'd be stupid to get ganked anyways). Also, drop synthesteak + those damage reduction biscuits and you're good to go for about 30 sec.
In regards to the question of the OP, you only need 0200 Enhancer to be within 1% of capping your resists (due to diminishing returns) and not to mention that it does consume force. So in order to maximize your SPs you only need MDef + Force Armor 1 to be within 1-2% of cap.
Ideally, I would rather take 0444 Sabers because you get a spin attack, and stunning strike (if they ever decide to fix that). So, if you can pull it off, it'd be 0444 sabers (need a decent saber for this) 4000 Healer, 3002 Enhancer, MDef. Enjoy!
[EDIT] Btw....
Don't pick up FR2, its a waste, the only benefit of box 4 is the longer root, other than that force run will just nerf you down. Force run 1 is great, you'll be the fastest (or most mobilie at that) jedi out on the PVP battlefield with no damage reduction. Lag + Action + Force cost shuns toggling of force run, so its more favorable IMO, to just have FR1.

Well first of all I appriciate all the positive feed back about this template. IT goes to show that people can have honest and well formed opinions about certain matters in the game.
However, when something as simple as a difference of opinion starts a flame war it is little to no wonder why there is such a distaste of Jedi in the Non-FS Non-Jedi and simply Non-Intrested populace. True, they may be few but given that the it takes at minimum six to seven months to reach padawan and the incresing blows that are being applied to Jedi our numbers as a whole will be less and less.
On a more positive note I do like a few ideas in here but feel that I need to clear up a few points:
- My main goal with the Jedi and my character at this moment is to be mainly PvE but be able to hold my own in 1 Vs. 1 PvP. I'll be honest, playing sense Jan 2004 I was alright at PvP, meaning I was a Melee stacker that knew how to play the angels and more over knew when to run when a Rifleman/CM came to town. Now in this Post-CURB era I have little experience with varied PVP in terms of Jedi skills. Assuming they work much the same as my grind template of TKM-Swords-Pikes-Medic it should be more or less the same with this template. Having said that the simple version is PvE Primary, PvP Secondary.
- Saber at the moment is not quite up to snuff as I believe was stated. Now I only have 2 in LS Tech and a +20 LS crafting clothing set but even with the additional points I'm still going to need to hunt down Good or better Crystals/Pearls into the hundreds if I hope to gain a foothold in the upper ranks of sabers. As such, it's going to be a bit of time before I have a saber strong enough to truly be able to simply CROG SMASH my way through a fight.
With those two points out of the way I admit right now the uses that intrest me are Healer 4040 ( Sap can come in real handy and only one other Jedi of the Five I play with has XX4X Healerso being able to have another person able to toss it up will be nice ) and LS 0444 ( This of course being that I already have XX2X sabers for grinding purposes and more over the hope that the states will be fixed in time or close to the release of TOO {Trials of Obi-Wan} )
My question is what has been brought up before: How effective is the Basic version of Force Supression, or in other words how long does it last ? The main fault of the base template is that it lacks a range KD so in place I used the root. FR2 is unimportant to me as I only plan on using FR1 to beat the snare of AI if I so need it ( only in PvE or insane PvP ) but if it means forgoing it for a 30 second root I may just.
Once agian thansk for all the information and look forward to seeing more.
