Thread: Jedi force ranged defense broke, what do I do?
LOL, talk to people with MHEALER or MPOWERS. No-one forces you to grind any tree. I bet you unlocked yesterday /rolleyes. I think you deserve to be flamed.

I got one better healer and powers their entire disclipline is broken

Seriously...go grind. Lots of people are in situations like this and knuckle up and grind their way out of it. It sucks, but..that's how the game goes.
Is there anothertree that has an entire line which is broken? I don't want to make things even worse. I got 3402 enhancer and MLS. maybe enhancer would be quicker?

Unlocked back in July. Why flame? if it is a common problem then their must be a solution out there.

since the 4th of July holiday. took a year and a half to committ and actually get it done.
Gotcha. Well, I'm not one of these "old men" Jedi who's going to flame the hell out of you, but I am a pre-CU Jedi. As such, I did my grind the long and boring way, so having seen thedifferent styles of grinding I can safely say that the new way is easier.
In case you haven't realized...a lot of things in this game don't work, and it's not just stuff in Jedi. The best thing you can do is go and regrind. There are a lot of "unfair" things in this game, but crying about it..especially on *this* message board is no way to make friends...lol
There is nothing else in Enhancer that can help you...not if you already have the Force Armor line. If you're looking for improved defenses while only taking 2 lines of Defender, then 4x4x is the most favorable setup.
Is it possible that the Ranged Defense will get fixed? Yeah. But Saber Speed has been broken since the CU went live...and that's just one of many issues. In all honesty, you're better off regrinding to get that working line of Defender, as the odds of it staying broke are better than those of it getting fixed. I'm not a panic-stricken prophet-of-doom when it comes to this game either, but I've played it long enough to know how SOE handles issues by now...and more often than not..they simply don't handle them.

Man I got 0440 in force defense. No RESPEC to switch to 4040 defense. What in the world do I do? Grind it out to ? Wait for devs to fix this? Any serious ideas?
Such is the horredous life of playing a mmorpg. Things change all the time, beyond our control, we just have to grit our teeth and endure. If this type of mentality is not embraced when you first start out, then you'd just go totally mad. Look at what happened when the CU first hit. Many people who didn't accept that fact got all up in arms when their precious game was changed. The others, simply accepted the fact that mmorpgs can change on a company whim and understand that when they hit 'agree' on the license agreement screen, it means you agree with what that fact.
I would have to agree with one of the posters here that said to play your alt. My Jedi is only 3 skills shy of full temp, and he has defx4xx as well but since I feel there isn't much left to do after getting that full temp, I went full out with my alt. My Jedi still has his respec leftyet will continue to sit on the shelf until the FRS hits. Besides, I think i'm having more fun and appreciating the game a little more with my alt, exploring the other professions of this game.
