If you were going to do any sort of hybrid, I would say TKM mixed with Jedi could be fun.
However, using a saber would hinder your unarmed mods, Inate Armor and Center of Being. So, maybe Master Powers/TKM would work with some Healing thrown in. Not sure how much longer they will let Ceter of Being run with force powers though.

Thats not the case though. You can saber block when not using a saber with valor. Saber block from techniques and master saber dont block when not using a saber, but you can block using a rifle with valor. Tested and confirmed.

In summary: Combining an elite profession with Jedi is kinda cool, but not great. I was CM/Jedi before CU...i loved it aginst BH, but not other Jedi.
Forget the armor bit...not being able to use any Jedi skills makes you a very week template. Any BH can overtake a Mpistols straight up..an MCM...forget it.
Best hybrid template? MCM/Jedi... hands down...great great healing (amazing healing)...lay dots, trauma, thryroid, electrolyte...yada yada, plus force heal, root, armorbreak!!!!

my hybrid works TKM/MP/enh xxx3/healer 4xxx
the higher tk innate overrides the jedi, i can attack (only 3 attacks tho) with unarmed witout using force, i use no weapon so when that nerf comes it wont efect me, i can use my fun powers, my regen from enh, and my heals from healer... i love it

There are not enough skill points for this template to exist. With TKM, 24 sp in FS, M Powers, and 4000 Healing, you will only have 3 sp left. Certainly not enough to have 0003 Enhancer as well...unless you figured out a way to get Jedi without investing any sp into FS. Um...yeah.

the other big problem on half jed/half not jedi builds is that you have a teensy little force bar and very slow force regeneration, so what few force powers you snag are more costly than normal

I really cant reccomend a hybrid for a main toon. Hybrid templates are usually a lot weaker in PvP than either a full nonjedi or full jedi temp.As several posts have pointed out you can get higher defenses fromnon jedi templates with 8karmor. All forceabilities (i.e. valor, aura, orequiping a saber) disapear if you are in armor whether or not you are certed to wear it or not.Also themajor disadvantage of a hybrid is that the force pool andforce regen rates are horrid. However I myself have thought about doing a hybrid for my second jedi,simply because I have held off taking him through the village exit quest due to not being happy with the current state of jedi. I have seriously thought about a TKM/Mpowers/4000 healer template. The template is for RP purposes only. Not really suited for PvP due to limited force pool on a powers toon, and not enough defense for a melee toon, but I think I would be fun as hell to RP him not as a jedi but as just a force wielder.

MPowers/CM = Super heals, Choke 'n Cloak. Anyone on fire, poisoned, and choked is going to hate a Jedi who can lay all that on you and then cloak to wait out the damage you can do nothing about. With CM enhancers..thats what? 350 + 350 + 400 damage a tick? I've hunted alot of Mpowers...choke hurts. I'd hate to have to deal with two more amazing dots on me.
Mpowers, 0444 Defender, 4400 CM puts you at around 4500 force power I believe.
With your template, Mdefender, Mpistoleer, CM4000, Enhanced Reflexes 4200 would give you around 2800 force power, 345 melee def, and 340 ranged def. All you have to do is unequip your armor/pistol a few seconds to pop Valor and Aura. That could easily be done after a Disarming Shot or Stopping Shot with good use of a macro.
Using a kinetic weapon would totally throw off alot of Bounty Hunters. Then again, most carry 2-3 suits of armor for these occasions.

This is another sad example of how rediculos it is that new jedi cannot get their saber dps high enough to even make it worth their while to master LS or waste any SP on sabers, that they our even willing to sacrifice sabers for some jedi skills and a pistol. No offense to you youngling you must do what ya must to survive, but i look toward the devs direction and all i can do is /shakemyhead negatively.
