Thread: Coolest thing from the ToOW video
voice acting would rock and they could use the same voice acting for npcs in cities that give you the same mission just in a different city
like the one go kill this heres 20 credits missions but like the kash quests and stuff all different voice acting

no, not the new robes, or the new critters...
It freaking sounded like starwars! Speeders sound like real speeders not just "whhhiiiirrrrrr" and the blasters sounded like real star wars blasters. I would give up a fancy new robe to actually feel like I'm in the star wars universe. and sound is a major part of that immersion.
Hrm, I think those weren't the actual sounds. I think those were just dubbed in there; not the actual game sounds.
bingo, Yeh has it right.

omg i totally agree! sounds are a BIG part of the game! why dont the guns actually sounds like that? and speeders and sabers??
Dude, I have been praying for years now, hoping SoE understands that sound and music is a great part of gameplay, specially in a Star Wars game... But they dont get it.
Why can't we hear actual Star Wars music, while playing? and not only fighting or when it goes dark... Why can't we hear the Imperial March when a bunch of Imperials enter a cantina? Or why cant we hear that lovely Binary Sun tune from Mr. John Williams while walking around in Tatooine? What about the Enter to theed theme .. in theed?
The only planet with a background music is Lok, but the sound file is so small and it looping the same 10 seconds of music can make you go crazy.

I dunno about the rest of you but I'm quite disapointed with the skiff.. I fail to see why we must be seated in it instead of being able to stand or walk about while riding on them.
I was somewhat let down by that as well but it doesn't surprise me. Getting characters to keep in sink with a moving vehicle while they are moving has to be a challenge. You could probably do it like JTL but you would have to enclose the ship and make it a pob.

Well, I think the big problem is that in JTL, the environment moves around you. On ground, you move around it.
