I normally do run my aura on a macro when I fight. This particular time my friend was testing out a new saber and I was just hitting back for kicks.

Can't remember but there's a good chance I was. So if AB just negates armor, if you don't have any armor (or less than the effectiveness of the AB), does it only negate what you have or add extra damage on top?

Did he used Armor Break ? That may be the answer.
It was AB yes .... AB will reduce your armor by I think 60% at adv AB this is why it is so powerful.... next time use AB on him and you will see you hit for more.

So I was just dueling a friend who has no defender, but has force armor. I have master defender. When I went back through my combat log after our duel I noticed something strange. I would hit him for 1183 and his armor would absorb 586. That's about 50% (20 innate from paddy, 40 from force armor 60 total) so that makes sense. He hit me for 1338 and my armor only absorbed 248, that's less than 20%. **edit**!? As master defender I should have 70 innate and should have absorbed closer to 700. It looks as if my innate from defender don't count in pvp. I haven't checked this with pve yet, it's late and I need to get some sleep. But has anyone else noticed something like this?

Hmm... happen to know if Aura might've dropped? I haven't noticed this.

I did not have aura on at the time,I thought it only gives plus to defence. Does it need to be active to gain the innate armor benifit? I'll try to test that out after work.
Edit: typo

Well no, but a Master Defender Armor Broken and w/out Aura doesn't really help much.A Master Defender truely is "Defenderish" if he has his Aura ontop of his innate armor, innate armor alone doesn't help much. What i'm asking is, were you armor broken perhaps?
Just a thought. I'll look into it, as far as I know innate armor is working as intended. i'll run some numbers though.
