This is crazy to even speak like this. The game is very playable for post-cu jedi... the only way this statement makes any sense is if 'Playable' means being the best Jedi there is on the server. I am a post-cu jedi and the game is VERY playable for me. It's all a matter of how hard you work to get more crystals to tune and try to find good ones. I had a crystal last night I got off a Corsair that tuned to 74 Dmg, -9 FC.... now it's not the best but those certainly make the game playable and there are many jedi that would LOVE to have that crystal in their saber.
That one last night didn't make the cut for my saber by the way.... so what does that tell you about prospects for Post-CU jedi. I feel as though I can hold my own pretty well still and the game is far far far from being NOT playable. I think what we are seeing is a bunch of jedi whiners who expect to have everything in this game handed to them. If that is what they want they should go back to playing console games.

Currently, Premium Pearls do not drop. We will bring them back into the game once we figure out a favorable implementation of these special items; there is not specific ETA for this change and all players that have the old Premium Pearls will get to keep them in the interim.
with this said, it made it sound like all of us who have premiums will lose them sooner or later.. but i have learned over the years to never trust anyone from sony..
