The speed argument here is also flawed. His first saber is 1.3 modified which is a waste. The cap I read based on some formula is 1.37 or 1.38 (forgot exactly which). Therefore less waste to go with a 1.4 speed saber (saber b). Plus one decent speed ca and you'll reach that cap.
No question, go with saber b

A is better. it has more min damage, more speed (dont look at the mod speed but the base) and its not just six more damage points. its six * the multiplier of whatever attacks you are using. so that six goes even further.

Frankly they are both pretty darn close. My personal opinion would be to go with Saber B. I find that both SAC and Force can potentially be an issue for me in duels depending on who I'm dueling. Force isn't often an issue unless I'm fighting against a CM then it's very improtant to control my usage. People say they dont' notice the SAC but I can tell you I run out all the time, and for me using a 100+ SAC saber was simply unacceptable, I use a 96 SAC 9fc LS now. The force while not typically a huge issue can become an issue in the longer battles, but it's mainly the SAC that would make me lean towards Saber B. And yes I use foods, all sorts of foods, but I also use speed and hit fairly fast as it is. Speed is nice but when you're hitting faster you need a lower sac, not a higher sac. Anyways just my thoughts as a Jedi on one character and a weaponsmith on another
