Well, ONE blast might be a bit overpowered, but there would be so much more to the GCW if it was notonly about infantry combat.
If the streets were controlled by armoured vehicles, would some of the fighting not move indoors?
Can you imaging the tactics that could be used to escort a group of commando's as they engage the heavy targets?

There are some HUGE unimplimented features that this game needs.
1) Smuggling as a real profession - By this I mean smugglers who smuggle. Tip "House Packup" is a stupid idea even if its convenient. It breaks onepossible game mechanism. IE, how can you smuggle when someone can put a house work of goods in their pocket and jump on a shuttle. Actually if you look in concept there almost done building this system and should go to testing phase soon
2) Guild Run Capitol Ships - Think of all the possibilities for PvP raids and ground / space interaction here. Great Idea... they are working on Capitol ships and I wish I rememebr the post Ill dig and see if I can clicky it.... but only thing they have problem with so far is the Boarding feature and grouping tefs .... I think your Idea of GUILD SHIPS actually solves that issue... use guild war function per ship via mutal consent

3) Player controlled "tanks" - AT-ST's, AT-AT's, and some rebel variants. These are what commandos are meant to kill. I don't care if they are hard to impliment, thats your job silly. Figure it out. Don't spend 2 years and tell me you can't do it. Other games seems to have mixed these vehicle types. Agreed... steal code from Battle front!!!!! or at least Have one of those devs come help them here!!!!
4) FRS - I went to the light enclave last night. How sad to see such a cool building empty. Again FRS system is being built... hopefully they get used soon again ...yes Im a such the optimist......to counter the 500 pesimest and nerf hoarders
BTW, why can't I land my starship there? I can land my starship at the rebel base on dantooine.

Also, please stop with the stupid obvious game breaking items like ADKs. The noobiest of noobs could have predicted their game breaking impact. Yeah, its really cool that my pre CURB saber with awesome tuned premiums never decays. Believe it or not, I can see through my own selfish wants and realize that the lack of a need to maintain my gear is hurting the game.
I agree... if anything it was yet another slap in artisans faces...like the repairable vehicles from disabled...like all the pre crafted Loot...
Like the one use schematics....
Lastly... on such a great post like this. I ask you.. please post this to in concept forum... and all profession forums...post it everywhere...it needs High visibilty ....
I hear By nominate Kamujin to apply for either or both Jedi Corre and /or Core systems Corre seriously we Need people like this ...thinkers,,with a sense of game mechanic and working knowldge of many Profss able to make good ideas in direct contact with the devs !!!!!!!!

I don't think I have any particularly unique insight here.
Its been 2 years, there is no excuse for these features to still be in alpha development.
Artisans make the vehicle restorationkits, which btw are very expensive, peoplebuy them for Barcs, AV-21 and Jet packs, you don'tsee players spending 300K to repair a swoop.Players can still repair their Flash Speeder, for a fee, but you rarely see those used and are usually someone's backup vehicle........
