I go back to a KOTOR ability that lets a Jedi deflect attacks with their hands. Then again Vader is mostly machine so he could have blaster proof metal in his construction.

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.

It is not what you are killing but what you are allowing to live.

It's been said many times before, but I'll say it again...

...institute the 7 Saber Forms...

Now I'm not saying that Jedi doesn't need a defensive boost...it does. However, The Saber Forms could be a potentially "skill point" free method of getting better defenses and/or offense. KOTOR 2 had them, and while the overall bonuses provided for using one form over another were somewhat miniscule, they were still at leastnoticeable, in my opinion.

Now I know the topic of this thread has to do with giving Powers users some type of "Unarmed" defense, but I've already stated my opinion on the issue, and I believe that the lightsaber should be the only method Jedi have for blocking/deflecting blaster fire.

There's enough martial arts/TKM nonsense that is decidedly un-Star Wars in my opinion, and that's pretty much what this is sounding like...more Kung Fu foolishess.

Your wrong, TKM's are very much apart of Star Wars. Not the time-line we are in perhaps but if you will read the books that are cannon. The TKM were to keep Jedi in-line many Jedi were TKM as well and they were to keep the Jedi from following the dark side.. Kinda like Police.

Anyways to the post ok so powers don't have the ability to block blaster bolst, not that MSabers can do this either very well. Why not add a force power to disarm so to speak that makes them miss more often or that they are not able to use there weapon for a period time. I recall Darth Vador using Force Pull to take Solo's CDEF Pistol from him...anyways Powers could use a little more POWER and different abilities. Infact the other Jedi proffession could use a little more too. (sp?)/not performed-

What if the seven lightsaber forms were implemented, which would allow us to go offensive/defensive/balanced directions with a saber. But then giving enhancer and powers some form of skill like force armor but a little different. Maybe they could both have something like "Putting a circle of force around them." Maybe one would work like aura and one would work like force armor. Let's say the Powers one worked like aura and when blasters went into this "circle of force" it could possibly throw the blaster off from the heavy concentration of force.

Who knows, I'm just dreaming. But yeah, maybe they should get rid of defender altogether and just add the 7 LS forms.

well its pointless posting this here... LS people don't wanna Powers to be decent, The devs said That with the CU, POWERS would be a viable Option for who doesn't want to have LS skills, But hey! Do they ever do what they promise?

Swg ...........................$50
JTL/ROTW .............................$25
Obi-wan trials............ $30
Monthly FEE ...............$14.99 x 30+ months x 3 accounts
SWG VETERAN ......... Priceless (too bad SOE doesnt realize that)

LOL...I'm wrong. My OPINION is wrong...right. Get over yourself TK-boy.

TK is NOT Star Wars to me. If you want Super-Saiyan Flaming Fists of Fury go play Dragonball Z or some crap like that.

The books that are "cannon", huh? The movies are canon. Not that this game is anything like the movies at all, but...that's what canon is.

I know what a Teras Kasiis...I've read up on it...and quite frankly, I do NOT like it being in this game. And that is my OPINION. They are something akin to warrior monks...the TK "Order" anyway, and in my opinion they should not be cheapened to the sleazy 12-hour grind profession that they are. If TK was presented in SWG in a respectable way, I might actually like it. As it stands however, I hate it. And I'm not wrong for hating it...that is my opinion.

Actually if you go back to the pen and paper game the skill Vader used is Energy absorb.

You can argue that Force shield it Soe version of this, but it's a bit of a reach.

Powers is or should be offense not D. Problem with SOE version of jedi is skill trees instead of jedi professions.

Professions would be complete skill sets based on profession focus. Sentinal, Guardian, Counseler = Offensive, Defensive , Powers

We're also missing sever iconic jedi skills for push force jump. God I'd love to have a leap attack in game to close that distance with the silly littel BH.

But alas we have a halfass jedi system that soe came up with instead of following the pen and paper games and the movies.

That's actually a neat idea, and one that I could swallow, unlike the "Iron Hands Jedi" of Unarmed Blaster Deflection

I don't see why a Wielder couldn't do something like this...warp the Force into some type of "shield" or "field of misdirection". Personally, I could see a Powers user being able to "obfuscate" their image, kind of like cloaking, but they'd remain visible. By using the Force though, the could distort their image so that they'd be much more difficult to hit. This could function bysimply providing static defense, but it would give Powers their own signature way of doing it...no saber required.

I like what you said but:

Guardian = High LS, Low force skills.
Sentinal = Medium LS, Medium force skills.
Counselor = Low LS, High force skills
