thats all great and everything....we dont want them handed to us...we want a CHANCE...let me repeat CHANCE at getting a prem or flawless.....we dont even have that..there completely gone...i'd be glad to work at getting them....if only WE COULD GET THEM! Krayt HAM... again another joke. Krayts like everything else in SWG pre-CU and post-CU is easy to farm if you know what you are doing.... even solo. Canyon Krayts and Juvies were the easiest and I had a looping macro going that would kill off a Canyon Krayt with up to 375K HAM in approximately 9 mins fully AFK. Giant Krayts were abit tougher with their KD, but again the KD wasn't too much of a problem if you knew how to shake it off without the fall down, get up, fall down that we usually saw happening when trying to use the /stand command. Again I had a hotkey setup with a list of attacks/heals/intimates to deal with Giant Krayts. Another kill that usually only took 11mins.
All in all, farming Krayts of any level (other than Ancients) was about as easy as going out and finding a gubber if you knew where to look. In total I farmed just over 100 premium pearls and approximately 30 quality pearls. I went through 3/4's of a crate of 80% composite armor for each section of head, chest, legs, boots and hands which only cost me 2 million to have made. The template I used was originally TKM, Commando 0040, Medic 3040 and the second time I was Mswords, Commando 0040 and Medic 3040.
Farming Krayts before the Krayt Boom was easy, after the Boom it was cake.
Nothing wrong, need to know where they spawn rofl????? I'm no noob, I spent HOURS in the graveyard with a whole guild. They did not just pop up as easy as you suggest. Yes I doknow there was certain spots and how you could keep a single spawn going pretty long and how to clear out the area to get them to spawn more, yep my guild and I knew this "trick". Do you not read the part I said there was HORDES of players out there foaming at the mouth? Sure I read your post, but to farm these mobs without the 'HORDES of players' you needed to be smarter than them. Saturday and Sunday morning were the best times to be out there farming these Krayts. I'd get up with my kids at 7am and farm them till noon or early afternoon. Normally in the night times during the week after work there were at least 3 or 4 groups of guys out looking for Krayts, but again with 15+ spawn points and many of them way off the beaten track you would find at least 2 or 3 that were spawned. These spots were where people would never go to. Not only that the absolute horrendous spawing problems that seemed to plague Tat where NOTHING spawned. There were those times and I admit having that happen, but the trick to making sections spawn was to get off your bike and walk around for about 10 -15 mins. I had no troubles making areas of Tat spawn with mobs. Were you the only person out in Krayt land, if so good for you I'm glad you were lucky, me I had to deal with 3-4 guilds at once competing to outdamage everyone and that was if the spawns were actually working. Why even bother competing against another group, if someone was in the middle of killing a spawn there wereother areas to go to.Trying to outdamage another group only aggrivates the situation and that is not whatis needed. On my server back then I had to compete and actually join groups with mulitple guildsto be a part of kills and have a chance at pearls. Then one pearl out of 10 kills there was 10+ Jedi. Guess how many pearls I looted on average per night, it's not even close to what you describe. Your experience was not typical if you are being truthful, either the population on your sever didn't hunt Krayt or you just got really lucky. Again you had to be smarter than the other players in the field. Krayts didn't just spawn after 6pm.
As far as you saying Krayts were easy to kill, of course they were BUT at least they required some actual time to kill and Giants/Ancients were actually a challange. 30-45k health compared to 300-450k health? You said it took you 9-10 mins for a Canyon, well it takes someone 2-3 mins now....heck for a team of 2 it takes that long for Ancient Krayt lol. It is WAY easier to farm now then it was back pre-CU krayt boom. Of course it's easier now. Everything is abit easier now. The point is, that these mobs were farmable before and after the CU.
Krayt farming before the boom was not easy, competition made it hard as well as the hours upon hours of no spawns that everyone complained about.....yes that even means the trick with clearing out regular spawns to make Krayts spawn would not work since there was zero spawns. Krayt farming after the boom was pretty easy IF your group could handle 3-5 Krayts at once because that's how many would spawn around you instantly the moment you engaged one lol.
But I'll agree a smart group could really go to town with looting during that breif Krayt boom, that's exactly why the devs nerfed the pearl drops about 3 weeks into the boom. A month later after all the excuses and attempts to fix it, finally they started dropping again....but what do you know it was april during CURB testing. That's why I saythere was only one real monthworth of the Krayt boom Pre-CURB. That's also why I looted the majority of the pearls I got before the Krayt boom.
