Ok, was playing around with template ideas and was wondering if anyone could say anything about this:
0040 Defender (Improved Force Valor)
4404 Enhancer (Improved Force Run, Improved Force Speed, Improved Force Armor, Force Drain, Force Channel)
4040 Healer (Advanced Force Heal, Improved Force Infusion, Improved Force Sap, Improved Force Shock)
0404 Lightsaber
0040 Powers (Improved Force Intimidate, Improved Force Weaken)
???
Drop sap and take Master Enhancer. Higher force pool, stasis, fr3, and self rez.
Template I mentioned originally gives 50 Force Regen and 5725 Force Pool.
Avoiding MEnhancer because Mezz is great for when you need to cut and run, but I don't want to do that a lot even if it costs me.
Question is, can Improved Force Weaken and Improved Force Intimidate still work even if you only have 1 line in the Force Powers tree?
take a look at this.....
MPow / Enh 3404 / LS 0404 / Healer 4000
Gives you ranged damage galore, plus breach..... armor from enhancer and speed buff, etc. plus LS to give you some extra ranged defenses, saber armor break, and some low FC attacks.
Ok, well what about this template?
0044 Defender
4404 Enhancer
4240 Healer
0404 Saber
it is not all about the force pool it is aboutr regain aswell
when i had 2,5 temp i could just stand and swing all day without channel (pve)
but now when i change to dabbler i need channel every now and then to keep my force pool up
with under 50-55 regain you will drian your force pool very fast and as you choice a force intence
template you need all the force you can get. i have atm 58 regain i think it is a little to low
compared to my 67 that i had beofore (without robe offcourse)
My "dream template" is a dabbler template with no mastery:
0404 sabers
0040 defender
4404 enhancer
4000 healer
0400 powers
The reason I decided not to go with this template wasn't force pool, it was regen and lack of damage output. I knew I'd need speed and accuracy CA's for sabers, since it was my only source of damage output, but that means no robes to make up for regen, and it was too low. I considered a different line of powers (lightning would be nice), but then I saw how low my accuracy would be with a single line and I decided the skill points could be better spent (especially with the expected nerf to cloak). I think a dabbler profession can be very viable in PvE, especially since most PvE of substantial challenge is handled in groups anyway, but with all the uber goobers out there running FOTM templates for PvP godness, you'd have a very difficult time competing. It can be done with the right strategies, but you have to bear in mind that they can take all the same foods, and buy the attachments and all that other stuff too. The five skill tree setup for Jedi almost forces you to decide if you want damage output or defense, because it's difficult to have any worthwhile blend. You almost have to be a tank that can't hurt anything, or a nuke that can't take a hit. Personally, if I were looking at your template I'd probably drop sabers (thereby nullifying the need for pearls), master Powers and drop to maybe 3402 enhancer/ 4000 healer to free up the skill points. Choke bypasses armor, and even if they nerf cloak you'll still have it, plus the area KD and Intimidate, plus the accuracy and speed, plus the force pool and regen. Whatever you decide on, good luck with it and have fun ![]()

Maybe you missed something in your calculation, but the above template has 26 SP left. Master Enhancer is the way to go with the above dabling. It's a safe template, lower offense, great defense, and super high on the fun factor.

force sensitive skills = 24 sp
and im not to sure on menh - as yes you get the master box (stasis/rez and fr3) but you also have to pick up the semi useless resist states tree. and to get it youll have to give up presumably either sap or cloak - both of which are and will remain very versatile skills
I'm settled on:
MPowers
0404 LS
4000 Heal
0403 Enh
0042 Def.
I'll probably grind out MLS first and make a good saber then drop it to 0404.
In the older days of jedi, particuarly pre-cu.... force pool was EVERYTHING! (well ok saber was a big deal too hehe)
But nowadays... I'm not so sure forcepool is a problem. Nearly any fight I end up losing now has nothing to do with forcepool and everything to do with either not healing fast enough, or running out of action/mind.

You can have all those skills, Master Enhancer, 0404 LS, 0040 Def, 4000 Healer, and 0400 powers including the 24 points to force sensative boxes. I have this template, it's awesome.
If you wanted to save time, you could just grind 0404LS and rent a LS exp suit. I don't know how useful 0042 in defender will be. You're prolly better off grabing 2040 defender. I could be wrong, but I think plain jane force valor has some wierd/high force cost. Might want to ask the main forum on that.
