Thread: SOE harmed Star Wars more than the Star Wars Christmas Special

I must admit having been a Star Wars fan for 27 years, this game has soured my perception of the whole genre. I dread the day I watch Ep 4 and start seeing familiar things in Mos Eisley that remind me of this game.


So much potential, so much wasted catering to children.

Tarkan it is called George Lucas taken total control of Lucas Arts.


His movies done and now he has to fix this video game. He will start shoving his foot in The Devs of SOE, where the sun does not shine.


And, it is painful when his foot gets stuck in there. Devs fix this game before he puts those boots on.

I'm gonna have to disagree on this one.

I was like 5 years old when that travesty hit the air waves. Even at 5, I remember being like really upset at what a piece of crap it was. I recall yelling at the TV and getting in trouble for it. Haha.

FYI, this doesn't in anyway make me an SOE advocate.. I was just pointing out that I dislike one more than the other.

I have seen the star wars christmas special.... It really made my eyes bleed. Especially the ten minute long wookie chat that had no subtitles. Bea Athur singing in the cantina was also bad.



this game comes close... very close... but unless you've seen the vhristmas special i would reserve judgement.



don't get me wron this game is blowing chunks and im waiting for the "fix all patch" like people are alluding to but.. Christmas Special is a form of torture that should be banned by the Geneva Convention. I heard the USA is using it to torture suspects in Guantanamo Bay.

In all seriousness - meaning no offense to those who feel this game is undeserving of the franchise - this is a market driven economy.


As consumers, you DO have the power to "vote" on what products - or variations on products - companies will supply to consumers.


The catch - you vote with you dollars.

no, watching the special doesnt scare me, knowing people were enjoying it does...I am having more fun watching hardware wars and closet cases of the nerd kind....
