Armor resistances will also be reduced. There won't be 90% resists anymore. So, it is possible that it will change to energy but once again the devs have failed to clarify on their statements.


Trying to predict what is going to happen in this game is something like this: You're sitting in school (on your computer) and the teacher (a dev) hands you a book with a bunch of pages torn out (incomplete info they give) and telling you to try to figure it out.


Partly it might still be they aren't even absolutely sure what they are going to do yet.

By their own admission around publish 9 or 10 Lightsabers don't fall into any of the other damage types. Hense why they created lightsaber damage in the first place. So dang it why the heck don't they leave it in!


I say we pettition that LS damage remain. I mean what's so bad with 3 damage types anyway?

Fortunately this is only speculation, if i remember correctly one of the reasons the damage type was changed after theJedi Revamp (and the removal of our ability to wear armour and weild our weapons effectively or use our powers) was due to our inability to both deal damage and be able to absorb it, effectively crippling Jedi as a playable class in reguards to mainstream PvP and High End PvE (this would have made those who keep calling for the removal of Jedi as a playable class extremely happy though).


We'll just have to wait and see what the Combat Revamp brings but i expect that unless Jedi are also given the ability to wear armour again that the damage type on Lightsabers will not be classed as a "base" damage type (though the Heat Elemental damage type may be used as it would also fit with the theoretical mechanics of a Lightsaber and its operational functions)

MOBS won't be easy after the CU, infact I'm scared sh*tless thinking how a Rancor might be, they might be able to pick you up, swing you around and throw you against a tree and let out a sheer roar...

any1 know when r they gonna fix the ls damage this is realy lame that now master rifleman can do more damage then jedis thats btw just 1 example

unless i am getting xp i just don't use my saber now, use either my dosh hunting rifle or vibro lance a lot more damage then my saber no force cost and lower action cost to. devs really did a bad job on sabers.

It's pretty ridiculous. Ever since the CU,no LS damage we got screwed. I dont know why they had to change all the rest of the combat attributes. I like have animals weak to different elemental damage and all that. now all guns/melee wpns are pretty much the same, they just look different and we have a laser sword that sux.

Yeah they do more damage BUT I can still beat 'em everytime with my 600 max dmg LS...

They made becoming jedi too easy --------there are too many jedi ------- they nerf jedi to the ground instead making jedi's life nearly impossible.(That is what i would do)

If they were to turn on elemental damage right now we would be gods, so they cant do it or the BH's wouldgo totally ballistic.
