OMG I cant believe this TH has no brains at all!!!

How can he come and write what he has about visability when he compleatly gets it wrong with what the patch notes say.

No im guessing a hell of a lot of Jedis went on the terminals last night due to the fact they went out with their guild thinking they were safe because the patch notes said they were, and now this when will it stop?????

What I would like to see is if a BH fails to kill you and you kill him that BH is not allowed to take a mission on you for a set number of days, and seeing as we are on the terminals for 3 weeks the BH who failed should only be allowed to hunt you once if he has failed before.

I have an issue in my guild where the same BH is coming for the same people day after day.

Lol@equipping a saber increasing visibility.

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen for a long time. Is any dev playing a Jedi ? Do you guys know WHY we equip sabers ? Do you guys know how much damage ADVANCED STRAFE does to us with no saberblock? It is the SYTSTEM you brought. Omg. I really can't believe this. Someone wake me up please.

Please allow me to introduce myself; I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year, stole many a man's soul and faith Oropher, Fallen Sith So if you meet me, have some courtesy, have some sympathy, and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse, or I'll lay your soul to waste Guardian of the Dark Side Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name, but what's confusing you is just the nature of my game Avenger of –V-engeance

Don't forget that lovely 3-5 second equip weapon in combat delay (that I'm told is our fault too)

You guys wanna know what the problem is.... do you...

Someone can spend a 1 year on this game doing a ton of crap getting xp loot making friends etc.. and put together a well balanced Character.... wanna know where these devs F' up...

Someone who came into the game last week can be just as strong as you... now does that make any freaking sense...

You talk about balance .... thats where the game isnt balanced.. not the templates we have.. its the simple fact that someone can do less than half of what you did and still be a jedi in the village in one week..... you guys dont see a problem with that... something didnt strike you as not right....

How the hell can someone who just came in game be as good as someone who has been in game for a year.....

And you guys are talking combat rebalance... let me give you some good words of advice ..... IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT

You want to limit jedi in game... well put in aprogram that runs a check to see if you haveenough time or xp under your belt to qualify to be a jedi.. give us something that we can believe not this garbage about having a lightsaber makes you end up on the BH terms.... thats BS and you know it. Luke didnt have friends who knew he was a jedi.. didnt see jango with a grief squad show up in the swamp and attack luke casue yoda saw him.

Were just trying to understand your thinking for what your doing because your Promising us one thing and doing something totally opposite. You guys have been lying to us from day 1 and to be frank its time for that S??T to stop

That's a good one there SolSpur, that just proves to mewhy SWG never was a great mmo, (nor was ever out of the beta state) apart from it's SW name franchise, the only thing that kept/keeps us playingwas/is the franchise, not their skills at developing the game mechanics, because honestly they abhore me to death, makes me want to puke my heart out every time I see a new publish go live, ihmo SOE used SWG as a "fund raising campaign"to gather funds to release EQ2, while leaving us SWG players/customersin the limbo waiting for some light to be shed on us, hoping they started hearing us out so it would get better because we love Star Wars and has been waited so long for this kind of game based on the SW universe tohappen, they knew that SW franchise = money, they never cared about SW and I bet most of the developers don't care a rat as* sh*t about us fans. I'm totally deceptioned, utterly annoyed by how things have turned out. This game was so hyped, the thought of fulfilling a dream, to be a Jedi,a Smuggler(broken and boring in the game) or a Bounty Hunter amongother professions was really a dreamcome true with this game, but the way they implented them and how it has turned out to bejust thana massive griefersonline game.It had so much potential but seeing how we get crushed/stabbed publish after publish seing it decaying is just heart sickening, such great potential...*sighs*

From reading the various posts in these forums, and talking to the Jedi of my PA I can only conclude that what was stated as the "offical" info in how Jedi increase visability must be how the system is intended to work. It certianly is not how the system works at this time.

It would not surprise me if there were numerous bugs in the code that essentually cause the Jedi to count as a witness against himself! And since I've not seen in mentioned, I'm also willing to bet that droids count as NPC's.

At this point as a non Jedi who has started the FS process my only goal is to gain Jedi Initiate to unlock my second character slot. Since this will take me quite awhile I can only hope that by that time enough has changed to make Jedi attractive again.

Given the departure from the scripted Star Wars storyline its becoming harder and harder to rationalize the hunt for Jedi being so disproportionate. Then again on many servers the Rebels have been "winning" the GVW with no noticable effect.

It is my opinion the that lack of a meaningful GCW results in the problem thet Jedi experience from the player base. After all if one person can wipe out the defences on a base with no problem, its not reguarded as a major accomplishment. But hunting players certianly ratchets the gambit up a bit. Of course by the time its seen that its not much of an accomplishment to kill Jedi most Jedi will be deaply in the xp hole, or will have quit either permanently or like now for a unknown duration untill something changes.

JTL has the potential to temporarly save the Jedi as many's focus will be up in space, leaving Jedi to themselvs for a bit. But I do not expect this to be much longer than a 2-3 week period.

A CSR told me yesterday that using a lightsaber causes visibility whether, if a NPC or PC see you. It does not matter if you level in the outskirts or at a Imp base as a Rebell. Everywhere you get visibility. Some ways are faster than others but there is no way to stay of the terms.

Ive not played my Jedi for a week and I wont do it in the near future. Is this the way that you want? That will keep the Jedi rare... But do I need my Jedi account? The char that a play is on another account. Another account that could be cancelt.

Every day another person told me that he quits cause of this system. I cant believe what you do to this game. JTL will not fix everything. It will not fix the combat unbalance, it will not fix the smuggler and it will not fix the Jedi problem. Keep this in mind if you want to have costumers in a half or one year...

*rolls eyes*

  • Bounty Hunter Payouts Have Been Adjusted Based on the Level of the Jedi
  • Non-Force ranked Jedi will always be worth at least 25k credits.
  • Force Ranked Jedi will always be worth at least 50k credits

  • I just got taken out by a MBH who said my mission was worth 60k. More than the base minimum for a FRS(!) Jedi. I'm a Padawan(!) pup with 0011 in Saber and novice in 3 others. I should be worth no more than 25K. Apparently I'm one eeeeeeeeeeeeevil bolle bol killer who needs to be extiguished IMMEDIATLY!

btw, this was after 5 days of pure composite wearing, vibroknuckler equipped, driving around on a speeder working on the Hermit quests, and then 2 more days grinding, with the same armor/weapon comboin any public area, only switching to jedi stuff well out in the wild. Never saw a player or npc within 100m. PLUS another solid 24 hours after that. Log in, 10 mins later as I'm meditating in a buff line, I suddenly notice I have every dot known to man on me, and 30 seconds later Im looking up from the ground at the MBH.

SW Battlefront is looking real good to me at this point. This game is not fun.

ok my jedi is since p 10.3 on the terms since them and a kill I stay brave in my house cause I know what a chance for a low lvl against 4-6 man groups. I played my other toons while that time. And still I wonder some parts about the visibility system. Like others I was never in any town with a LS equiped or a robe on. I know other players running in caves, towns etc and my BH char never could find them on the terms ( wondering why is there magic?).

What I also never understand :

for example it takes a count of 1000 to get on the terms

so now a jedi was not careful enough he earns while his grind, pvp or whatever 2000 visibility pts ( vp's)

SO here is my logic problem: why do 2k decay in same time than maybe 1k .

Might be I'm tired and someone could explain...

What I would understand is this : decay offlinenline is 3:1 would be logic and if I work in the wilderness I have a chance if noone comes along to hold my visibility lvl on a low + per session what I could compensate with beeing maybe dbl time only ingame so my grinding session would have no effect on my visibility factor as long as I don't pass as in my profession as jedi NPC, Players etc.

Players shown up in Cities as Jedi should have an absolut straight on the boards send , same at places like geo caves etc etc etc I think no need to say more.

There should be a penality of xp loss for ppl that didnt watch their ways to remind it next time, I think most of us could live pretty good on the 30k xp even the young ones.

There must be a regulations I dont want to see sometime a jedi grinding afk xps like I see normal professions. Also I would love to see that visibility clearing is seen in some ways to us, ok that would allow us to controll our visibility on terms but would also helps a lot in the lower lvls. Maybe to see the visibility only until u reached a special lvl. The lvl u are able to fight back as jedi. I think the high lvl jedi dont have most of the time problems to bee seen on terms they already reached a protection lvl but I think about the low lvls ( yepp I know now it comes they have protection because of their old class etc. But believe me before I changed to my old combat class and jumped into my armor I got enough fire to watch clouds passing by and wake up at a place named clone center ). Also I read often that the jedi that are atm on bounties btw 100-150k they got their most vulna state cause lost most of their old combat class. So if we fix it on the bounties maybe u can ask 3 times a day about ur visibility until u reach 100k bounty, than after u can ask only once a day after u passed 150k u are not able to ask about it anymore but I think at this time u know whats good or not and make ur own decisions. I'm not sure if its working or not.

I also remember ( maybe here I'm totally wrong ) that more vp's :it needsless refreshes to see u up on the terms. My alter is BH as I said so I checked it . My idea: after didnt playing as jedi ( sitting in house, with compo and VK in my hands) my visibility should have reduced a little...so was my idea. I went over to Kadaara with my alter checking terms...30 refreshes thx nothing with my name on it 40 refreshes here I am ..ok 40 are ok ...paranoia lowered.

A friend send me a tell: hey I see u check terms atm could u check out for me

    /reply sure

open terms again....woosh my name is now on page one...totally confusion.. So I got out of that where ur name appears is not fixed on the visibility its random...sometimes u are the girl of page 1 sometimes even after 80 refreshes not seen...

Can anyone tell me also for that the relationship btw visibility and shown on the terms?

I think one little change to the system could make it fly for us, the customer. visibility should completely not matter if we KILL THE NPC OR PLAYER that witnessed us. How can a humanoid rat out a jedi when they're dead? It also flies I suppose that using powers with no witness could be "felt" by the emperor, and thus we get put on the boards. The emperor didn't really notice Luke untill he started to become powerful, so I think that after 13 boxes of jedi are earned, these actions should matter to a very small degree based on a mathematical model of:

let n = the number of boxes earned in jedi

let k = a constant based on what witnessed the jedi powers

(equipping sabre for visibilityis total crap, to a non-jedi a sabre without the blade looks like a modified spraystick)

and if npc dies within say1 minute, then no visibility

    (n-12)k = Visibility

if Visibility is a negative number then it should be thrown away, nothing other then time or jedi death should take visibility away

The other complication would be killing the player within 3 minutes, it would be verry rare to be in a situation where you can just kill someone for driving by.

Also a-lot of the distress is caused by yet again not knowing how visible we are. A jedi should not be able to count up with any ceartainty wether or not he/she should lay off for a few days via any A.I, but a jedi should be able to sense when something senses them...........disturbance in the force.

Remember this is a game...You cannot directrly relate every factor of it to the movies, it just dosnt work that way. The system in place right now with the BH/Jedi is just fine. I grinded my jedi to full template. Sure I was attacked plenty of times and lost more xp then I care to remember but these factors are put in the game to keep Jedi from A) easily just grinding up and the servers having a mass amount of fully templated jedi and B) to keep jedi that are abusing their jedi skills and powers by showing off or doing anything that's not in conjunction with the current state of the galaxy.. Meaning Jedi are supposed to be in hiding, trying to grind out of the public eye, so if you are gaining vis then a penalty has to be put in place. The system does work. And is needed for even more reasons then stated here.

JustG, or whatever your name is, did you sit down, think about this and thought to yourself, "yea, this is a system that will be fun for everyone involved!"? I mean, come on, this SUCKS.

JustG plays a BH on live.

That should answer the question. In fact, I get the feeling a lot of the Devs play BH on live and the new system is the evolution of what gets them off.

I used to think they wouldn't miss my $15 a month, and then I realized they haven't posted player-number metrics since the initial "300k" people signed up to play.

I wonder how many are left...
