Thread: FOR OUR SAKE, I HOPE THIS IS NOT TRUE......

problem is if you know your project is going no where why on earth would you spend all the time for new programming, let the game go as is with a few updates everymonth, let the contract run out and focus more money on advertising to sell the product by lieing in the advertisments. lieing i mean stretching the truth like showing how easy it is to become jedi and such. Putting all that time into something you know is going no where just doesn't make sense. So i dont believe that. however...
the possibility that they are streamlining it to be easier to code and run is very possible because SOE has shown in the past they are more concerned over making things better for themselves than their customers.
To regain some cash from the money-sink. Seriously, Mustafar has 50 new quests, it can, in reality, barely be called a true expansion, and they're charging $30.00 for it.

Where is your credible source within LA to discredit this rumor?
Didnt think so.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!
You know what; I think I've figured this out. Read and tell me if this makes sense to you...
LA decides they want to take over running SWG themselves and tells SOE they aren't going to renew their licensing agreement. Most of the original Dev team jump ship to work on other projects that are going to go somewhere. SOE dumbs down the game to streamline it and make it easier and more cost effective to manage. SOE's sole concentration now is to sell as many expansions as possible while slashing their overhead costs to make as much profit out of this as they possibly can before their contract runs out.
This would explain A LOT of things!

DISCLAIMER: This is mearly an opinion derived from 20+ months of observation (Launch - CU). To the folks at SOE: if this is way off the mark, feel free to pop in here and tell me so. This isn't a flame or a troll, just an opinion derived from what I have observed.
