Thread: How do you beat foes with armor break sliced armor?

Okay yesterday I fought one of those for the first time. What baffeled me was that he was TKM and had some doc skills. BUT he was wearing armor so prolly some other profession so that he can wear recon armor.
With CoB insane heals and me doing about 500 damage, I saw after a min or two that I didn't stand a chance against him. His mind didn't ever drop a bit.
I am a MLS, 34x2 enhancer, 4x4x defender, 4xxx healer, have a 620mdps saber and usually know my deal in PvP.

Things I could have changed:
Okay I haven't taken any foods, I know bad mistake but honestly I was overconfident. This was the first of his kind I ever fought and I was so sure I could take him without food. (Go me!)
Well after I saw that I hardly did any damage I could have used some food but I think that would just have stalled the outcome.
Synthsteak, pikatta pie, crisps, candy could all have helped me last longer, but wouldn't increase my damage output by that much.

So long story short, how do you beat them?

(BTW could have bailed out anytime but hey win some loose some)

They'd get bored as hell doing that after a while, and then I'd be through with having conversations for the rest of my life."

I would just run...

personally I can't beat AB slice armour, I've tried and at best I hit for something like 400 damage (or 600 with power attack).

I know the feeling. I have a very similar template and know my deal in PvP. There are a couple of TKM/Docs on my server that I just can't beat no matter what combo of foods I use. At best I can pull out a draw simply by rooting and running away while my mind regens, but I consider that more a loss.

My general tactic with melee/doc templates is to keep to make them heal frequently such that their mind goes. I normally do Saber hit + body hit + head hit and repeat. I kd every 30s and follow up with a power attack. I keep him Armour Broken and Blinded. I make sure I've always got aura and infusion running.

But even so, I either run out of mind or force

Well seems most of your template is built around tanking so you need to find a way to outlast them. If hes TKM then he needs to be close to do damage to you, use your root from enhancer for starters and then saberthrow.

If you KD him then move in apply states (attempt AB) and do some damage, re root him and saber throw some more to keep him healing but not doing you damage. When his mind finally goes down enough move in for the kill.

AB slices tbh arent that important, its the other player knowing their template that matters equipment just gives an edge. You have MLS so use the states use the range and keep melee fighters away from you with root, hell even ranged players hate being rooted when youre melee as you can get the hurt on them and while they are healing youre not taking damage.

Same here :-/
It's not that I can't stand loosing now and then, but if I know even before entering the fight that I most likely will die...

There's one bh on shadowfire that I have alot of trouble with. He hasn't beaten me yet, but we go for quite a while and I have to channel at least twice everytime I fight him to finish the battle. He's a BH/CM with a very nice rifle and very nice RIS.

I just keep hammering on him, once you get him down to where he has to heal almost every third turn, he'll be going down pretty fast (that mind don't last forever).

That being said, we should just not post this so others don't get the idea

Hell yeah against non jedi powers are devestating. But on the other hand maybe thats balance you can't simply win against some but have it easier against others.
I am just thinking ahead, what when all those major pvp guys use armor breaking sliced stuff. We will have some REALLY bad time then.

Thats escaping not beating. I could have root and run anytime too. But for me thats just stalling.

TKM with some doc skills and AB reduction sliced armor? - never, you cant beat them with a limiting force bar, you run out of force long before you can actually put some hurt on that chars.

Even before the speed adjustments a jedi with 25 force speed and 40 doc speed couldbt beat my TKM/MSword/4000doc, thats without ab reduction slices.. imagine that char with slices, youll need 2maybe 3 ppl to bring him down

Sorry - I was being a smart arse - I dont actually have FR3 or Cloak, although I am thinking it might be a good idea =p

I have fought 2 BH's so far with this and I just could not damage them enough so I had to run, took me about 10 mins and a holocron to realise I could never win and so running was my only chance of survival.

I am not quite full temp yet LS 3444 - Heal 3020 - Enc 2002 - Def 0240, my LS is fairly good at 515-613 - 101 sac - 32 FC.
I tried everything i could including AB/KD with sap applied when there action/mind looked low but it didnt seem to bother them.

I am not saying nerf at all, I am so fed up with the nerf's in this game, things need to be fixed not nerfed. It seems these guys have real good equipment and great tactics I just dont see how i can win so toget away alive is best i can do.

My only plan now is to play my jedi less and thus hopefully get less vis so maybe i can play jedi for 4 hrs once every 2 weeks or something, inbetween that i guess its play the alt or another game :/
