Hey guys!
We all know that it's not really appropriate to see this many jedi at this time the game is supposed to take place. They now are supposed to be in hiding. I was just wondering how many people actually try toplay like that, secretive and illusive. I mean keeping your LS unequipped until you get attacked, having a house in the middle of nowhere, stuff like that.Even grinding by yourself even though you know it would take much longer than doing it in a group. I'm Just curious.
Thanks for reading.

I don't grind by myself, I'm not interested in spending the next year afk grinding. But I don't show off, I don't duel, I wear my reg. clothes, and try to keep my LS unequipped in npc cities.

This is where we run into philosophical differences.
If you are a purist, then there should only be one Jedi...and people will even argue with that, depending on what books, magazines, cartoons, etc. they have read.
The computer games...from KOTOR to the first person shooters...let gamers play Jedi by taking liberties with the storyline.
The only way SWG could allow Jedi was to create a system in which everyone could take the path, and I agree with that decision.
I don't think the current grind is too easy...I was a pre-CU jedi...I think it still takes a long time with the way the village was created. Is 12 weeks too short? I don't think so...but I never supported games which tailored too heavily to the most hard-core gamers. I think they should focus on the mid-level gamers.
But, in the end, it still returns to philosophy. The devs apparently switched philosophies this week...

Likewise. I even became a hybrid to add to this and "masquerade" as a normal a majority of the time. But my hybrid got removed by those clever devs... personally for me, that made it quitting time. Many others won't quit and will now go full jedi.. nice work SOE.

LOL...you used the "Masquerade" word...
If you ever played that Vampire series, you would find amusing parallels with what is going on here.

EXACTLY IT IS A MASQUERADE of jedi. No joke, we SWG jedi look like a jedi, wear jedi robes, got a lightsaber looking neon lamp and we can "play" we are a jedi but WE ARE NOT LIKE A JEDI in any SW movie or in an SW universe or in anything what Lucas ever published.

I tried....but it's not productive.
I would play like a Jedi should if SOE didn't penalize me for doing so.

did my entire pre-cu grind alone, didn't gain visibilty, and no one knew i was a jedi (except those close to me), until i was ready to show my self. Unequipping your saber back in those times were suicide, even doing it now is rather stupid. For a slight bit more of immersion, its not worth the time. This is why they just need to add weapon holsters..so people can seem unarmed, and really not be.
