Jedi robes - Not only did SOE flat out lie to us about the resists on robes they look pathetic and give a bonus which is virtually worthless.
Templates - My plan for a template was4/0/0/4 lightsabre master powers andmasterenhancement, bit of a force user thing. This was before I unlocked and before the revamp in which I found that if I did not take master lightsabre master enhancement and 4/0/0/4 healing I would be completely screwed. Not to mention the fact that being a "Dark Jedi" I would be forced to take healing which I pretty much despise.
The impossible grind - I had my Jedi less than a week before the "revamp" however in that time I actually had some fun. I had to keep to unpopulated towns, escape bounty hunters once in a while, and I was semi-powerful in combat. Then after the revamp I found myself with one line of lightsabre a useless robe and not able to solo a quenker... I can live with it being a long hard grind however it is simply impossible to start out as a Jedi. Can't wait till P10 hits with all the new Jedi and people complaining that they can't solo durni.
We just don't belong - I am not much of a roleplayer however I enjoy being able togive my characters in games "reasons", such as my rifleman being a spec-ops Colonel for the Empire. It is not much but I like having a reason to do what I do... As a Dark Jedi I found no reason to be there. I was just killing thousands of lizard things which I could barely stand a chance against. Then I almostfelt sorry for Light Jedi considering they have even less of a reason to exist and are forced to kill millions of creatures to progress. Not to mention the fact that they are just as weak... Then I thought "screw them they get a bonus on the only template anyone can take while our bonus is totally worthless".
Forced PVP - Forcing Jedi to PVP is like... Actually I cannot find something which is as stupid as this. I constantly see overt Jedi running through Coronet waving lightsabres slaughtering "lesser beings" with their "ub3r t3mp1a73z". It sickened me to see so many Jedi in PVP and even more so due to the fact that they were not hiding they were in fact forced to expose themselves in the most pathetic way possible.
Bounty Hunters - Interesting... I was hunted before the patch and I kept to abandon little player towns in the middle of nowhere and never attacked NPCs. After the revamp I have had a lightsabre duel in public, constantly walked around with my title up/lightsabre out/robe on and never have a thing to worry about. Used my lightsabre in front ofmany people and gusse what? Not once did I get on terminals... NOT ONE SINGLE GODDAMN TIME! I did not even have a REASON to hide.
Rare? Unique? Yeah right - I have probably seen a few hundred Jedi on my server in public robe on lightsabre out title up without a worry in the world. Not to mention how just about everyone seems to have a Jedi at this point and they all wear the same robe and take the same build.
SOE, why did you lie to me? Why did you say that robes would have resists? Why did you say that Jedi would be rare? Why did you say that we would be powerful? And most of all why are Light Jedi more powerful than Dark Jedi due to the fact that everyone is FORCED to take the same template which includes healing and no powers?
Anyway back to Tanaue, my TKM/dancer which beats the hell out of Jedi. I have even defeated a near-knight Jedi as a TKM.
Well good luck to those of you still attempting the grind and for those of you trying to become a Jedi, I suggest not.

LOL, you know nothing about the grind.
Before, it was a TON harder then it is now. Getting to Padawan is worse then anything now. I was getitng around 30-50k xp per hour, now I'm getting over 200k.
You can say NOTHING about the impossible grind, because you have no clue what it was, or is.

Question for you... What did build did you have before the revamp? And how many skillpoints did you get? Note that the impossible grind mostly refers to the lower parts of Jedi in which you are as weak as a novice brawler... Oh wait nevermind they get armor.

I can understand you Teuvan, and yes when pub10 comes out and all the new jedis will be there, they will cry a lot. because they need to switch bag all the time to their main proffession to get not eaten by durnies, and with that they get no xps. and when they are not quick with switching the BHs will kill them all the time and 200k than at that level is like eternaty. before they not hit at least one or two saberskills they will have a very very hard time.
I stopped the grind, I play mostly for fun now, because there is no reason for me to grind to knight as main goal, there is nothing I want, and its quite the end of the game than. I am sure, if I would go on with grinding now, I would stop jedi or the game at knight than, because I would be just done. so I go out and do missions or travelling and stuff. but I also have other chars I play if I am bored of jedi, so its not so back, I switch to my main or to another server and profession a bit, so it kind of fun still because of the difference of each proffession.

You guys still don't get it.
THIS is why Jedi will be rare.
I wouldn't plan on it changing too much, and to anyone who thinks that the quests were worth waiting for, they'll be ten times harder than hologrinding ever was. (Guarnteed 6 months to unlock 24 FS skilld, one per week, 24 weeks) Remeber, the longer it takes, the longer you pay to play. Don't believe me, look how long hologrinding kept people here.
The devs ARE going to keep their promise, Jedi WILL be rare, and everyone will be angrry they finally kept there word.
Unfortunately, the only high level Jedi will be powergamers who have already unlocked and made it high enough up the skil tree, but they'll be gone soon too, because thier attention span won't last as soon as WoW or a few other games are released.
So what's the future of Jedi..........?

I would'nt count on that.. I AM a powergamer.
<-- check the rank..
I never wanted jedi.. but is seems that soon it will be the only thing that can pvp effectively. So I will be forced to get it unless they overlook them in JTL and we can stay up there a while..

You know you all need to stop complaining, your probably just mad cause you dont fully understand how to play a jedi. Yah, if you walk around infront of everyone showing off with your lightsaber like a monkey with his new bannana your going to appear on BH terminals, get hunted down, and killed. Personally i think you deserve it, ive been playing my jedi for and a friends for over 4 months and have only been approached by a BH twice, and both times i drop'd what i was doing immediately jumped on my speeder and got the heck outta here back to my safe house. Both of those occassions being on terminals more than likely was due to hunting around humanoid NPCs or Storm Troopers that seem to just fall from the sky in the middle of a hunt when you dont realize they are within sight distance, and before realizing they are around i pop on terms. By no means and i trying to sound harsh, but i watch so many Padawan and young Jedi walking around town dueling people, hunting in grps, and using force powers infront of every Tom, D**k, and Harry they meet, then come here and post on how they dont like Jedi because BHs keep killing them. Just stop putting yourself out there Jedi are meant to be some what hidden, not running around shooting lighting at gnorts to show everyone how cool you are, and SWG made it so that the penalties for showing off your powers is that you REALLY gain the attention of others, namely Bounty Hunters. I know its no walk in the park but i think you will really have fun with your Jedi if you try and remain alone or hunt only with other Jedi, not being on BH Terms is great you can walk around with your Jedi Title over your head around town and people will still know what your all about without having to show off. if your not too sure on exactly what puts you on BH terminals im sure there is a few posts on it or just respond to this and ill be more than happy to write another post on the Do's and Dont's of a Jedi, great hunting spots, how to tune your crystals, Lightsaber/Crystal assembly tips for best damage vs force power consumption, etc... PLEASE KNOW THAT IM NOT BEING MEAN AT ALL AND I HOPE IM NOT TAKEN THAT WAY. I just think if you play your jedi in a more low key fashion as to where you dont appear on BH terminals you will still have a lot of fun grinding xp knowing that you get awesome powers and abilites at the end of it all. may the force be with you.

Gonna have to agree with ya. I unlocked 2months and 3 days ago, and I'm just about done leveling now. I converted pub9 with a 4334 Initiate. I'm now 8.2mill xp from being done.. @ a rate of about 1.2mill/day that means I'll be done in 6.8333 days. Not bad at all if ya ask me.

Maybe if you don't have a life. I unlocked way the hell before you, and I'm about the same exp away from knight. I think I can manage maybe 400k per day. Not everyone is locked in their parents basement buddy.

While I haven't unlocked yet, I KIND OF know how you feel since I got really burned out trying to figure out how to become a jedi back when nobody knew. Yes, some of the things the devs do can be extremely frustrating, especially after youput a ton of effort into something. Anyhow, I think a good long break of at least 2 months will do you good, then you'll probably be back like me :> After my break, I realized that there are fun things to do in this game still, and it helps a lot not to focus solely on jedi. (OK OK, so it demands about 80-90% of my attention still, but hey... LOL)!
