I am somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 through my template. Although I am getting very bored with the midnless grind, this is not a major reason why I am thinking about changing to a normal or FS non Jedi Profession temp. Here are my issues:

I have know idea what I will do once I am Full Template. I would like to do the Knight Trials I guess, but I am not a big fan of Jedi PvP becuase it is not true to the timeline nor a factor in the GCW and thus pointless. Yes I am A SW purist I guess and wish this game was more a SW sim, but I understand the economic factors. But if I wanted to play a Tekken type game, I would still be on my PS2. and not SWG. Running around poitlessly fight fighting each other for no purpose other than PvP ranking is idiotic IMO for this game. I can't stand all the food and drink buffs necessary, to get "that edge". It takes the fun away from the game for me. Also I am casual player, 20hrs a week tops. I don't have the time, or would rather spend the time doing something fun, to hunt around for hours on end for Crystals and Pearls, Nor do I have the resources to buy them, especailly when I am likely to get crap tunes anyway.

My vision for Jedi would have been getting missions from the council (for Jedi) or from the Emporer or Vader (for Sith) to destroy this faction base, or kill these npcs, or even engaage a specific Jedi in battle. Something that makes sense to the storyline. PvP, except base takedowns and faction guild wars, always seemed to be a sub-game, to give Jedi something to do and use resources.

Ok, that being said, if I begin to drop my Jedi skills for non Jedi as I grind my new temp, and drop some of my FS skills, will I have to regrind those FS boxes again if I choose to go back and start regrinding Jedi? Also, are there anyother things to consider before I make this decision?

If you want to stay to the timeline there should be NO jedi just FS and there would be no council for sure....staying true to the timeline would there not be battles in SW? Are you saying that rebels should not kill imperials? That seems like its the whole point of the game to me.

Also what are you doing with your jedi alt? Why not just grind him to finished temp and mess with him when you tire of the jedi grind.

u work this hard to get where u are, and u want to drop jedi. im full temp and have lots of fun hunting and pvp ing .

are u in a guild ? if not join one its lots of fun

My alt is a pure hunter and quester, I have a lot of fun with him. But he is not factioned at all. I agree there should be battles and reb vs imp, but the way PvP is set up, it has no impact on the over all GCW. Unless you do base take downs, and then seems like it makes sense. But to run around aimlessly in a town fight, with no purpose doesn't seem to fit my vision, and espcially with a Jedi. Maybe a Sith, that would make some sense, but a Jedi would never be so random.

Forget the timeline LOL Play your alt and park your jedi. Burnout happens, it's best to switch off from time to time.

You can't drop your 24 FS boxes

I actually was burned out a few months ago, but lived on my alt for a while, I am fine now, but discouraged. I am just not sure that what I feel a Jedi should be, is represented here. I would hate to spend the next 4 months grinding my Temp, to find that out.

why drop jedi when you can just play your alt

I wouldnt drop.. play your alt, buy a 2nd account.. whtever.. but if you drop jedi its a long grind to get it back.. and chances are as this game gets more and more jedi orientated you'll want it back

I play my alt alot, so that is not much of an issue. But a Major issue, is if I am forced to PvP, not inluding BH's but against other Jedi, and I don't have the time, resources, or even the want to go out and spend the majority of my time hunting down SEA's and crystals/perals, then I don't have any chance at PvP against those who do. But, if I want to progress past just Being a Jedi, and going on to Knight etc, I have too. I feel stuck.
