Thread: Ok guys, and Jedi Rep, Please take note....
Yea I know what you mean, at least you got a +90 tune i haven't been able to even get that, but i hope soe will look into this and so something to help us, I aggree that perals and crsytals should help us with our saber but to totaly reply on it for our damge and stuff I don't aggree with , no one else has too. I know I can barey defend myself
I don't know anyone else feels but I feel as if it's a hopeyless thing, and I feel as if soe or the dev's don't give a crap
Just a small advice here ![]()
Look outside the "box", there are crystals dropping which are quality.
I tuned one of those to 108/108 -7.
Even before CU, we had to hunt alot pearls and crystals. Agreed that premium had a higher chance for a good tune
BUT you still had to tune over 100 to get a very good saber.

Is this the end game, is this what SoE really wants. To make to so bad for us, granted I know some ofyou out ther ehave really good light sabers and great for you but what about us that don't. And have tried everythign within our power to obtain a good one what's in it for us?
end what? Have you mastered every profession, and killed every critter and player (including crafters and closed accounts) 5 times with a pointy stick? Have you been to every inch of every map, including space? If you haven't had the pleasure of wiping out hoards of entertainers for a day, then I say you have not even begun to play!
Seriously though....the people I know who have really good sabers spent in the 100's of millions buying crystals and pearls, ntm going out and hunting krayts and NPC's for months. Coming up with tricks and superstitions about how to get a better tune, and going through 100's of pearls - including the fabeled premiums that used to drop.....all I'm saying is that if it's not worth it to you, then why bother? That's why they give you an alt
But if you really want that good thing, then you're just gonna have to buck up and keep at it till you get it. You'll have to sit through the bad tune weeks, and you'll have hit on the good tune hours (when the blue moon is hovering above the spotted owl tree, and the thrush knocks 3 times on the....well you get the picture). It's pseudo-random, which means the more bad tunes you get the greater chance that the next one will be good. (actually not really, but it sounds good huh?)
Well, here's to a better tune ![]()

yup im still tuning my saber max is currently 673
105 -7 fair crystal post cu
117 -8 premium pearl pre cu
98 -6 good pearl post cu
110 -7 good pearl post cu
ive tuned hundreds of pearls and crystals pre cu and post
Now imagine this tuing problem with no ADK's...I'm assuming just about every jedi on every server has their saber ADK'd. This problem would be a heck of a lot bigger if this was not the case. This needs to be taken care of IMMEDIATELY!!
Just keep pluggin away, I recently tuned a crystal (good) at 109 dmg -6 FC. Not perfect but still very nice in today's game![]()

Small bit of info: Correspondents are players like you and me, and they are not working for SOE nor are they in the SOE buildings nor do they get invitations to dev meetings. All Correspondents can do is to post in private sections here on the forums that are more likely to be read be the devs than the public sections.
Concerning your tunes: Most "good" pearls will tune between 55 and 75 damage as far as I can tell, however I myself had an 85 dmg tune from a good pearl and others had 100+ dmg. Its all a question of luck, the CSRs cannot influence the pseudo random generator used for your tunes. The more crystals / pearls you tune, the higher the chances of 4 useable tunes are - so just keep tuning. And dont buy your pearls / crystals unless your alt is a real money maker, they are easy to get by yourself.
But as a mdef mls you can't defeat a BH? You should at least draw to a stalemate, but on my third Jedi with just Force armor, Aura, all the tier two boxes in LS, channel, and 2xxx healer, my saber has a max damage of 540, I'm able to take them down without too much trouble or it becomes a tie

Well the difference between Pre-Cu "Very Good Sabers" and Post-CU "Very Good Sabers" is huge. I am not complaining but I really don't think that OldSchool Jedi know just how big the difference is. The OP sounds just like a buddy in my guild who just seems to be bugged for some reason. I have tuned probably 100+ pearls/crystals of all (except premium and flawless) quality ranges and have gotten myself up to 636 max 100 Sac 16 FPC. I have probably 10+ over 80 though so I know it is possible but I only have one over 100. There is a guy in my guild who's sabers MIN Damage is almost as high as my Max damage. His min damage is 620 something now tell me there isn't a huge difference there. I realize that Krayts are a LOT easier to kill these days and I spend days upon days out there hunting them. I am not calling for a nerf to Old Jedi sabers but we all know that newer sabers need some help. Oh and btw I have been playing forever and never wanted to holo grind so I finally decided to try and do the village so that I could unlock before cu and I did. This left no time to hunt Krayts. Well anyway back to the subject my advice is goto the Corsair Canyon POI and just farm crystals there Fairs seem to tune as randomly as Quality do. Good luck.
