Can anyone become a Jedi?
Yes, anyone can follow the path of the Jedi but like all professions mastery will require time and experience. The new Jedi profession will be equal in combat effectiveness with the other professions. It will still however deliver on the promise of the Star Wars Jedi mystique and will allow players to "live" as Jedi in the world of Star Wars Galaxies.
I think that this is a big slap in the face to all that grinded Jedi. Personally, I am very upset. I busted my butt from day one and I got jedi just before the CU and I JUST finished my template about 2 weeks ago. That is 2 plus years for me to complete. Now some nub can come in and click a button and they are jedi....
They say that they will have to quest and work for it but what about the level 80 Doc,SL,Pistoleer that you can master in a day and they can respec to a level 80 jedi?
One SOLUTION, ONLY ALLOW CURRENT JEDI TO RESPEC TO LEVEL 80 JEDI. If they are not jedi now then they have the option to respec to a lvl 1 jedi. I would be ok with that.
I cant believe this crap someone else said this quote but I cant remeber, "I sure am glad I paid a company 300 bucks to beta test a game for them."
Ok, I am done ranting for now.
