Thread: Question.....how many changes do you think Jedi can take before it is nothing more than....
Erm, there are still many templates that can take on non jedi profs and win. Just because the majority of players chose the flashy cloak/force run/stasis templates, and now can't hurt a nuna, doesn't mean that the power isn't there for the taking. I'm quite happy with my template, I can take on almost everfy mob in the game on my own, and am invaluable in guild/hunt groups.

umm few months ago they cut the force cost on saber attacks in half and i havent seem so many nerfs that you guys arnt viable like some other proffs out there ohh and yall are about to get some new **edit** w/ the new expansion so im not seeing the out to kill jedi devs here
Reasonable response. Yeah I am not out to cry about the nerfs and such but I am hoping for a balanced reasoned look at the situation. I am not saying much about the expansion because for all I know it could be a one big joke. Who knows..it could turn out to be awesome too...we will see I guess.

your just upset Corina
No..Actually I am not. I just posted thatI am looking for a balanced fair view of the situation regarding the nerfs. Seems many Jedi are upset about the nerfs and I am wondering if they have "just cause" to be upset. Hopefully posters don't come in this thread and flame eachother to pieces.
My oppinion is that the Devs are setting up Padawan to be equal or less than other professions to force players into FRS to get any where strength wise. But I could be wrong too.

Hmmm well we have to fully understand our purpose. Our purpose is to be someone else's target now once you get to that loftie titlethen wehave to evaluate what that means as well. Our purpose is really , we have to figure out ways to survive plan and simple a jedi template is about survival. Why to you think the "cloak situation" is so hot, because some folks figured out a template to survive with, now that survival template may go bye bye.
It is why certain possbile templates aren't around, how many master healers/enhancers you see? Jedi have settled on the tank template or the hit and run template. these have proven themselves to work effectivly in most situations, now and then lady luck rears it's head we loose , but all in all we survive. When your survival is threatened you bet folks are going to get hot and very protective of their chosen profession so if the cloak situation goes thru and cloakers do not have the ability to go on offence or run then we are steadily being driven like cattle to a single survivable template.
There are some that say wait for the expansion and the FRS, yet there is very little word on what the FRS is going to be or if it is even in the new expansion, we as jedi cannot base how we survive today on a maybe. Jedi is a complicated profession, and has many abilities , but then normal classes have the ability to mix and match as well, the difference is jedi have very specific and restrictive abilites.
Jedi abilites were supposed to be very strong from point A to B, and light sabre's were to be feared. If the Master Powers folks complaints are correct then MP's need some kick in their abilites, same with Master Healers as well. Jedi abilites are supposed to be different and powerful, cause all anyone is trying to do is survive.

Grinding for a year in no way entitles anyone to power over others.

Additionaly there is the XP loss to BH death, mandated content for BH, massive work required to achieve a capped weapon, and negative xp.
Let's not forget about the pre CU Jedi that had to spend months playing solo in an MMO just to unlock and then grind the xp to finish a template that now appears equal to any other.

Quite frankly I disagree. Provide a better reason to invest the time into the character. For that matter, that's a fundamental in any game; practical linear. As the amount of time you invest increases, so does your character abilities and strengths.
So um my TKA that I have been playing for um god 2 years should rock according to this logic

That is not what he is saying, otherwise a 2 yr MBrawler should be more powerful than a 1 year TKA.
The reason a Mbrawler is not as powerful as a TKA no matter how long you play it is that a Mbrawler can be mastered in a fraction of the time that it takes to master TKA.
If you believe that a TKA deserves to be more powerful than an MBrawler then why is it so hard to accept that a Jedi should be more powerful than a TKA for the same exact reason?
