wow. I am working on my master box in powers and i still cant beat a BH. I suppose its just me and i need to learn more about how to pvp. BTW my saber does 534 damage. 1.98 speed 133 elemental 44% and fc 39 special action 127
it's not necessarily you Master Powers is borked atm.... about the only good thing it has vs non jedi is choke (although if u get a 500 tick it helps alot). When you finish ur temp and fight a bh i'd recommend you choke , kd, or weaken (snare for 15 secs) and then move in to fight with your saber as your primary damage dealer.

Ok... So I have been hording crystals/pearls since the CU so I could sit down and tune all of them in one crazy batch... I was planning on 100...but only got up to 70.. I made the best possible saber (MLS/Crafting Lines/12 Point Suit/Perfect Machine/Experiment Center/2xFoods/best resources).... I put the "best" of those crystals/pearls into the saber (4th gen)...and this is what I got:
Dmg:315-421
Speed:1.81
Base DPS: 155.64
My MLS Mod DPS: 261.22
Force Use:36
So Just for fun I picked up a LVL 30 certified Vibro Axe for 10K.
Dmg:315-632
Speed:2.7
Base:175.46
Hahaha !!!
Hahah...this is so sad.... I don't know if I should laugh or cry....If our enlightened developer team thinks that this is ok...then I give up

quality of pearls/crystals make a difference too, large difference between a flawless pearl and a fair crystal...

Yeah... You need over 50-100 premiums to actually get a decent saber. SOE really screwed over you new Jedi. Its just wrong what they are doing and what they are trying to do.

My saber is also a Post CU one constructed using nothing but "good" pearls and crystals. I built it using my 12pt suit.. foods in research centre etc. I tuned in the region 60ish of them, but never in big batches.. i would tune one here, one there etc. my best tune happened whilst in middle of a 50% packet loss session.
(off the top of me head as not in game) My sabers stats are..
Damage 526-622
Elemental 180something.(Banes Heart)
Wound 42%
FC 19
Modded DPS 504

hear it is . so for all the other jedi who sayabout stop crying, learn to play your toon. this is the reason we have so much trouble with BH's , our sabers are CRAP!

my saber was 740 dmg close 790 dps, 0 SAC, 10FC, but the cm/doc guys could easily outheal my dmg.

You got some awful luck. Not that my saber isgreat or anything, but I farmed 15 fair and 5 good crystals off of corsairs and managed to get my dmg to 428-552, 119 elemental.
If you are wondering, all the crystals used were fair, the goods tuned like crap. As for the farming, I collected those 20 crystals in about 2 hours at the Corsair POI with a friend that didnt mind me looting all the kills.

Ouch...
My sabre from memory (am at work)
is 515-615 - I tuned about 50 pearls/crystals - but i was lucky to be given a few 'quality' pearls by a friend.
My advise to you is get FR3 and Cloak asap =p
