Thread: Group Invite Spams?
Hey Bro,
The more threads I read aboout players using these kind of tricks/un-intended game mechanics the more I get sick about it. Report them all. These types of players should be banned as they are griefing which is an offence. To those that use these tricks, you are what I would call unworthy people, people of no honour. They give us honourable BH's (well ex-BH in mycase) a bad name and bad rap. I am disgusted.

I'll go ahead and set my auto decline and recommend to friends in game that they do the same. I guess it's my fault for not thinking like the lowest common denominator.
As for reporting them, I hope my combat logs still contain it. If not, lesson learned for next time.
Thanks, all, for your input!
This isn't to start any flamefest, but how is this different from the spamming BH's get from a jedi's group mates. It's poor behavior all around, but please don't act like Jedi's are innocent victims of such a vicious tactic. Let's call a spade a spade and not do the babe in the woods routine.

Let me start by saying that I always try to give my BH stalkers a good clean fight. I've had alot of success against BH's to date and I'm pretty happy with my template, but the respec token is at the ready.
Now yesterday seemed pretty busy for me. I had three visits and lost to the third (the second and last were MCM's). The one thing that made this visit different is that he apparenlty had a few buddies there spamming group invites on me during the fight. Needless to say I was stumbling over myself in more than one phase of the fight and felt a bit cheated out of a fair fight. I didn't send any hate tells or anything like that. Wouldn't do any good anyway, and perhaps that just feeds their egos.
My question is how do you more experienced PVP'ers go about compensating for that, or do you just turn off group invites altogether? I'd prefer to not have to do that, as I group up alot on guild hunts and it would seem to make it somewhat more of a pain to do that, but if it's the only mechanic to avoid those who would cheat/exploit to get a kill then so be it.
Other than that, I have to say this soured my attitude a bit toward the BH/Jedi relationship. Having read other recent posts about the utter lack of incentive to fight and to deny the BH the fight when possible, I'm starting to understand your position more than I did last week with all of the nerfs, the fact that SL buffs will count in a BH/Jedi fight, etc.

very good point but the bounty hunter does not have 450k on the line.

It isn't any different but I do not read anywhere that the Original Poster say's jedi are any different. So how about you take your advice and don't try too start a flame fest.
With all the bragging by full template jedi about how they have nothing to fear from BH as well as disdain for any exp loss now that they are finished, what is 450k to them? I could understand if they were to lose skill boxes if they lost more exp, but as full temp's most don't seem to give a crap.

Again, show me where the original poster is bragging about being a full template. Bro, these statements you make are everywhere else on the forums. It seems you are trying to start a flame fest. Why? This poster has a valid point and argument. He is speaking off others using unintended game mechanics. Jedi or BH, I think we call all agree that type of playstyle the original poster is talking about is wrong on all levels.
Some people just bring the BH name down to the gutter. Not all of us current BH's and ex-BH's are like this.

Thanks alot for sharing this info, the more people come forward with these lame tactics that cheaters use, the more we can prepare ourselves. That was something that never crossed my mind but now I will be sure to add the decline invite to my BH panic macro. The funny thing is this happens in alot of MMOs to a certain degree, it reminds me of the exploit when Rebs used to start a conversation with an At-St to keep it from firing. Oh well, all we can do is experience it, read and learn. Thanks again.
How would you set that command in a macro? like /groupinvite reject or something like that?

Feeling a bit guilty?? The poster didn't say all BH do it, nor did he say Jedi didn't do it. He had a bad experience and is asking how others deal with it. Who are you to even ASSUME he spams others and therefore is not innocent??? So...stop trolling and go back to the BH forums.
