Thread: FRS suggestions
- FRS should be gained from 1 vs 1 combat and BH attacks
- missions to be picked up from jedi trainers
- Quests
I don't want the FRS to be associated with the GCW, it leads to exploits and un-jedilike conduct.
suggestions?

Thats mine.
Make gaining anything between Knight and Guardian quest/mission based. I'm talking level 150+ npcs and very difficult puzzles to scenarios to work through.
To gain master you have to train at least 1 padawan to complete template and he has to finish the knight trials before you gain your rank. From there the council elects its members.
Lightside council members lose their position with every 3rd death.
Darkside council members must be challenged and lose their postition in a fight to the death.
At Chancellor you are absolved of your maintenance costs for FRS xp.
I still like the suggestion that someone brought up a while back with the Padawan/Jedi relationship that would give FRS points to the Jedi for some of the accomplishments of the Padawan, ie.. leveling up to tier 4 skills.
I also thinkKnights and Knights onlyshould gain FRS points from killing MBHs that come for us.
PvP and quests should be a part of the FRS in my opinion.

Knights/Guardians are dispactched across the galaxy w/ padawans in tow to complete difficult quests and remedy ill situations. From successfully completing themissions you gain FRS as a knight and your padawan gains jedi xp. ( as an alternative to grinding)
At master/consular levels there is really no content that can be quickly created to suit any PvE needs a master might have.
So lightside masters would use their skills and knowledge in the force to give demonstrations of power to younglings or padawans.
Darkside masters would constantly lead forces of knights/oppressors into battle against their force counterparts.
The flaw in Gizmo's vision is that it is TOO restricted. coding for such things would push the FRS forward to another era in programming.
We are trying to be realistic here.
"You can only fight outside city boundaries". Do you have any idea how much lag that would cause outside of major cities?
Do you not see that all that would happen would be you chase a jedi to the city limits and during your lag spike he kills you?
Try to think more the 10minutes out. The thread has been around for long enough for them the implement maybe 10% of the things you guys are unrealistically asking for.
FRS xp should be gained by PVP only!!!
Only fresh carebear jedi wants a non pvp way to get frs xp cuz they either suck in combat or is to lazy to get a horde of decent crystals and hope for a nice tune
FRS should be perma-overt,or atleast perma tef Dark vs Light
If you dont want pvp, then you should stay as padawans

Starport gank squads make you better at jedi skills?
It's fun and all, but FRS should be based on individual skills, not numbers.

ah yes...GCW PvP these days...standing around Theed overt waiting for the gank squads or the random overt shuttling in...sounds like fun...![]()
I hope the FRS is nowhere near what it was before...otherswise there could be a massive jedi exit...

1. I disagree. Not all jedi temp's are built around 1 vs 1 combat, so it's stupid to say only the 1 vs 1 fighters can advance. Also, Force Rankshould NOT be gained from BH attacks, lol, that's what made the last FRS so dumb. I hope the new FRS makes it so opposite faction Knights can attack each other at ALL times(Much like the old FRs, except it works just for knights). That way the GCW can still function as it should be, and the jedi can have their own little wars. Oh, and you can still arrange 1 vs 1 knight fights by the way, that's what I did for almost all my Force Rank in the old system.
2. This idea would be cool. We need more content.
3. Ummm, kinda same concept as number 2, but yeah, quests would be cool.

The reason for #1 is the Starport Gank squads. I enjoy it, but when 10 rebels are attacked by 20-30 imperials, what chance do they have? One on one fighting is the best method, simply put. Yes, the support jedi will be at a disadvantage, but then again, gank squads put everyone at a disadvantage
