Thread: If it sucks so bad, why are you playing still?

For all the complaining that is going on about how bad the game "sucks", why? Why do you continue to punish yourself day in and day out. Stressing over a game that is no longer entertaining for you. Instead of complaining, why not act. Hit the cancel button, you know you want to. Go ahead.... LOL! ok, I am just kidding there.
I can understand that many people are upset about where the game is going. I can understand that people are bored by the grind (oh god, this could be sooo changed), but for the life of me, I cannot understand the ones who continue to play a game that no longer interests them, and no longer provides entertainment. So in an effort to understand the things the drive people to this level of self-punishment, what is your biggest reason for staying after the thrill is gone?

dem have nothing better to do, sure there are loads of stuff in the game that could be better....
but if everyone stoped whining on the forum, i'd be really bored at work

I"d probably say its mostly, after the damn accomplishments and building of their character, they aren't that quick to let go. and because it starwars, they refuse to give up on it, in hopes that SOE gets 1/4th of a brain.

this is true, so true. I spend 40 hours a week on this forum while at work, and it definately ranks up there on the funny scale. Sometimes.

I did cancel 3 of my 4 accounts, the only active on is my jedi account ,and even that one is about to be cancelled.
WOW is so much more fun.lol.
It is true, Jedi is the END GAME, no FRS means there isnot much to do, and Im one of those hermit jedi.

The game sucks in comparison to what it once was. However, in my opinion, SWG is still a cut above the rest despite the developers' game-wrecking efforts.

In many ways I still love the game, but maybe im just hanging onto the "Idea" of the game.
I put alot of hard work into Jedi and im not about to walk away until I know for sure there is no changes on deck. When SOE walks away from the game I probably will too.
I live for the moments these days. Last night we had a nice PVP raid on theed and I had two BH's try to kill me. It was a fun night and I enjoyed myself very much.
If this kind of fun could be had at every login I wouldnt complain at all.
In closing the reason im also still here is because where am I gonna go? There is nothing out there at the moment.

Its a live fromtc publish notes to tc publish notes. Some day, i hope, there will be the solution to all this on tc, some day...
