Thread: Dark Jedi Master NPC battle results

Just wanted to pass along some quick info regarding fighting Dark Jedi Master NPC. Myself and another Jedi friend went after one. I was doing the primary tanking in the fight each time before I died (we tried twice).

The key to the fight for the DJM was Improved Armor Break. When that wasn't applied, he was hitting me for averages of (I'm MDEF):
- 1k+ with saber specials
- 700+ with lightning
- 200+ with choke

When he uses Improved Armor Break, all hell breaks loose:
- 1900+ with saber specials
- 1700+ with lightning
- 500+ with choke

This isn't conclusive, but in both fights he only used Armor Break after we got his health halfway. Not sure if that is a real trend.

He uses Force Speed 2 and Improved Force Aura during battle, but these powers do not seem to benefit him at all, as he's:
- Not attacking faster
- Not taking less damage with Aura

I also wanted to note a few more things:
- Stasis, root, snare do not work on him at all
- If you try to Force Run away from him, well, try it

Good question!


When I log I'll try to force drain one and see if it adds to my force pool.

Did you notice ifthe DJM's attacks hit less effectively when he had FR2 on?Me and 2 other guildmates took about 3 DJM's on and it looked like he didnt hit as hard with it on which was pretty nice.


All in all the force npc's with their specials is great hehe gives me a reason to use force shield and force absorb now.

Actually I didn't look at the combat log when this happened. I was already dead and literally had tears (of laughter) in my eyes when I saw my friend try to FR3 away and see the DJM right on his arse.

HOLY CRAP, I wonder was he just running after your friend normal or did he turn on FR2/3 soon enough we will see them using AI AND FR3 and still 1 hit kill ya.

Are these new DJM soloable with say mdef mls combo? or do they need 2+ to take em down? and where can they be found`?

Sounds like his force choke is bugged, as it should not be mitigated in any way by armour (same as pvp force choke.)
