Thread: just unlocked last night

well so far ive gotten 3 pre-cu quality pearls to tune about 45 damage each at -0.17 speed and -3 fc and i just unlocked yesterday, seems that ill just have to rely on clear crystals and i hate that tuning takes almost all my force to do. i guess having better then average pearls still means nothing, ive got one more quality pearl and if it doesnt tune out above 100 damage then i have no choice but to go powers, people are selling the same crappy pearls i just tuned for 10mil on my server, besides the clear damage crystals is there any other alternative or should i just go powers and wait til the pearl drops come back, also have you seen the new AI for the krayts, wow guess my alt will be out trying to farm them. i guess im happy about finally becoming a jedi but i see myself playing on my alt more then my jedi after im done grinding out all my boxes to full template i guess ill just play on my alt, anyone else in the same boat. well i start my grind tonight after work and plan to use the uber 56-134 damage training saber til i get some better pearls or pick up 4xxx powers.

Well..here are your options... farm for the next 3 months on your alt until you have at least 80 million credits. then buy all the pearls you can, and pray they tune well.
..........yeah, thats about the best advice i can give you. and soon.. you too will be on your way to having spent over 100million credits on a weapon that still sucks

In exact same boat as you. I unlocked last night as well. Tried out my training saber against a lvl 17 Hurton and it took me like 10mins to kill it. Training Sabers rule!!!

um what you want 4xxx powers for bh defense? if so wont help ya the ways powers is built with 1 tree and the warm up timers it wont really help you at all.

Yeah, tunes are random. I unlocked a month and a half ao. Only ever used "good" pearls or crystals. Maybe 100 total. My saber isnt the best, but I like it. Best tune is 102 -5, 93 -8, 86 -8, 83 -6. Thats my saber, no its not uber, but it does better than you think it will. I am going MLS because I walways wanted to, dont let a few tunes mess your plans up.

i feel bad that you lost all that money on quality pearls and got such a poor result. Happened to a lot of us. I spent 20 mil on pearls and the best tune i got on 20 of them was a 77.
Welcome to the club. Enjoy playing your alt for a while . . . or now could be the time to master pilot on your jedi. There are 9 separate pilot badges you can get while you wait.

If I were you I think I would just play your alt and get them going first and then go back to your Jedi. Jedi just suck post CU. They have nerfed the heck out of our weapon while making all other combat professions (esp. ranged) able to get really nice weapons. Save your self the money and just go to a game where you will actually enjoy yourself. After all it is your hardearned entertainment dollar you are spending, why spend it on frustration.

well there are no flawless left on my server and if there were they would be sold for 100mil which i dont have so i guess ill just go for roleplaying factor and just go powers i really dont want to waste my time worrying about pearls, after i spend the next few hours grinding tonight when i get home just to pick up a few skills and get that force bar up ill tune everything else i have and if i cant get over 400 damage for the time being then ill just be a powers guy, ill just sell all my ca's for 2h ls since wont need them and get some powers ca's, thanks for all your advice and input into my situation its helped me clearly decide what to do with jedi in its darkest hour.
