Isnt working. It's part of the reason why our arse's are getting major kicking's (apart from the obsene force costs). If you check the combat log you'l notice that there is no system message saying your armor has absorbed x amount. This is the reason... our clothing is acting like armor!Meaning each time you get hit the condition of clothing gets reduced by the amount it absorbs! This iswhy all our pady robes are at 0 condition and whyany clothes you wear gets decayed when you get hit. The same applies to tka and why they are getting wooped.

We have no armor, even master defenders wont have any innate armor increase, the only reason why they are getting any damage reduction at all is because of the high defenses (some wierd person decided high defenses means less damage instead of avoidance)

hopefully they know about this and will get this fixed

i asked if it was working earlier, and got this answer..:

quote:

As lvl 80 MLS Mhealer 4004 enhancer lvl 80 hit me for around 400(ancient krayt), after getting 0404 LS Mhealer Mdefender i was getting hit for around 180, A lvl 109 FS NPC hit me for 1800 after Mdefender he hit for 1000. So yes it is working.

endquote

so i think its working, its just not showing up anywhere..:/

Nope thats your defenses causing reduction not the innate armor. As its set up now with every defense point you have thats greater than your opponents you will recieve an amount of reduced damage, and i think you get a damage bonus vs the opponent. Try equiping some full condition clothes and you will see a big difference for a few seconds before they get to zero condition.

He's right. Innate armour ISNT working.

People think it is because defender reduces damage, but thats because the new way accurary is handled.

Most people have 150-200 accuracy, non-defenders have 20-30 melee/ranged defence - this means they get hit for a further 130-170 thandefenders. Its this which is causing the damage changes - not innate armour.

So if you had good clothing with lots of mods in them and it got to zero condition, could you repair the clothing or is it just worthless now? I need to log in and check the condition of my clothing. I spent alot of time finding good defensive skill tapes for them.

Innate armor is working. Go to options (ctrl+O) and click on the chat menu. Scroll down to the bottom and you see an option for a "Verbose Combat Log". When you choose this option and the suboptions below that, you will see the message in the combat log telling you how much damage you have resisted.

I was just grinding with a buddy who has 4310 defender, and +55 innate armor. Now, I believe he said he has +45 TKA innate armor.

He was getting hit harder with his LS equipped than unarmed. Much harder.

Now here is the screwy part.

In verbose combat chat, he was stopping 158 damage with his innate armor, out of a possible 369.

My lowly CL 54 paddy, was blocking 158 (the same!) damage out of a possible 469. I have only +32 jedi innate armor.

Methinks the innate armor for Jedis is bugged, or messed up some how.

one of the many things that should be examined.
