Thread: Don't expect a CL80 novice padawan to suddenly get CL80 Jedi status

I am pretty sure they consider this an exploit for someone to breeze their way from novice padawan one day to a full CL80 templated Jedi the next day and even though it seems like it's gonna happen, I'm betting from their track record that they quickly add a method of equating your old jedi skills to your new ones. Meaning if you were a novice padawan before this goes live, you are gonna be a novice afterwards as well. I can't imagine they'd subsitute rifleman/doctors for all Jedi skills overnight like some suggest.
this would make sence...but then again they dont want to hear complaining from the ppl that are the rifle/docs

Jedi=Starter Profession.. Jedi=No different than BH, or commando, etc.
See, Jedi is still special to you, but to the dev's, it's not. So yes, it will happen.

Not gonna happen. It has been clearly stated that anyone should be able to be a Jedi. Getting padawan in the current system is 10X harder than geting full template jedi knight in the new system. That is why Jedi are not going to be alpha classes anymore. Let it go. I have accepted this and instead of fighting it I cancelled both accounts.
No one is saying Jedi is gonna be thge Alpha class. The arguement is should a CL80 Doc/Rifle "start" on the change over on the same lvl as a CL80 Jedi?
That is the basis for the CL90 rumor I have been trying to comfirm or dispell.
Everyone gets to be a Jedi, the starting place is the question with regard to respec or current Jedi. With the eventuality that all will be CL90 at some point.

The argument is moot. If the Dev's wanted to continue keeping Jedi "special" or "difficult" to obtain, they would not have made it a starting profession. So the answer is NO.
Tiggs has already stated that it is CL for CL. No, banked experience will not transfer over to the new system. So yes, you will have to grind those last 10 levels to get back to where you were previously with a 4th gen lightsaber and full temp. In essence even the 10 new CL's is nothing but what we ALREADY HAVE RIGHT NOW. That they have decided to just force us to regrind.
Welcome to SOE and the New **edit**ing Game Experience. Have some KY Jelly.
The rumor persists none the less. It originated somewhere. And those that blindly take one side of the issue or the other are likley to be the ones who said "No way!" when the rumor of Jedi as a started profession leaked out.
Current Jedi just might get that 10 lvl bonus....... ![]()
Hmmm....so basically, as a thread below this one points out... a CL51 Jedi will drop all but 1 box of Jedi, grind to CL80 rifle, or what ever, in a matter of hours, and respect to CL80 Jedi when NGE goes live......

I wish you could get that statement "stickied".
Sick of peopleposting threadsfor that answer because they don't want to look for it in the FAQ's or their reading comprehension stops when they read5 words.
