Thread: Force Quests and Crystal Crafting
Force Quests, and Crystal Quests.
- Quests gained by /searchForce disturbanceareNPC missions that already exist in the game, of which there are many and varied.
- Completion of the Quest grants Jedi XP based on the difficulty of the quest: (mission difficulty x 250) would be a good balance of XP reward I believe.)
- (Optional) All quests have a light sidesolution as well as a dark side and neutral solutions. A player chooses which of the solutions to attempt at the time of quest acceptance. For example: There is anNPC quest in which players are asked to provide a Bith woman with a certain variety of flower. The player is asked to choose to attempt a Light, Dark or Neutral solution. The light side solution would be tosearch for the flowerby way of /searchForce forage, the Neutral solution would be to purchase the flower from a local junk dealer, and the darkside solution is to find an NPC with the flower us of /searchForce victim and kill it, taking the flower to return to the Bith woman.
- Some existing NPC quests require the player to defend or hunt a creature. the creature is unique to the mission, like the Wild Bladeback Boar, and is found using /searchForce threat.
- Every tenth quest completed using /searchForce disturbance directs the jedi to a waypoint at which the Jedi is told she feels a convergance of force energies. The Jedi can now/searchForce forage for a completed force crystal. The crystal is of random quality, chosen from a 'Good' crystal to a 'Premium' crystal, and is tuned to the Jedi immediately upon entering the Jedi's inventory.
- The crystal found in this way will alwase be a colorless crystal.
- The Jedi can abandon the current force quest at the nearest force shrine, however the Jedi will only get credit for completed quests.
The Crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi...
A Jedi can use /searchForce crystal to find components for forging a new crystal. Several components must be found, although there is no quality rating for the components.
- The elements which must be found are: A Thermoconducive Element, A Crystalization Element, a Stabilization Element, a Density Elementand a Metaconductive Element
- These Elements cannot be traded or Sold
- Each element can be stacked like crates
- All five Elements are required for each crystal
- Each Element governs one of the final statistics of the crystal.
- A Thermoconductive Element govorns the Speed
- A Crystalization Element govorns the HAM cost
- AStabilization Element govorns the Durability (hit points)
- A Metaconductive Element govorns the Force Cost
- A density Element govorns the Damage
- The more of any given element is used, the higher the final statistic will be.
The Jedi combines all five elements in their lightsaber toolkit and crafts their crystal in the normal way. A Jedi can use experimentation on any of the five statistics to improve their new crystal.
A color crystal can be crafted in this way, but only the Durability of the crystal is used.
When crafting a new color crystal, only the crystal's durability can be inproved through experimentation or using more materials. During the crafting process, the Jedi must choose which focus to use in the crafting process. Focus is chosen as a box in the crafting window, but does is not a material in that it cannot be stored. The Jedi merely chooses witch focus to use by clicking on the desired box.
The focus chosen provides the new crystal with it's color. The rating of the assembly success determines the color's shade (IE: red for a poor to good success, dark red for exellent to amazing success)
The colors of the crystals is listed here by which focus is used to create them.
- Rage = Red
- Determination = Green
- Peace = Blue
- Justice = Yellow
- Resolution = Purple
- Fear = Brown
- Joy = Orange
All Crystals crafted by a Jedi are tuned imediately upon entering the Jedi's inventory.
CURB NOTE: The colors of the crystals could very easily corrospond to the new elemental damage types being added to lightsabers in the CURB

Force Quests, and Crystal Quests.
I propose five new commands, requiring no new artwork. All commands are explained below.
/searchForce disturbance
/searchForce forage
/searchForce victim
/searchForce threat
/searchForce crystal
All commands use existing command Icons.
NOTE: This proposed system is not meant to replace the current system, but rather add to it.
There is a Disturbance in the Force...
All Jedi would recieve a new /command group called /searchForce.
/searchForce disturbance provides the Jedi with a direction to quest in, a disturbance in the Force that urges the Jedi to a particular place to perform a particular action.
