Thread: Maybe SOE has a plan.... Read it and tell me what you think and what you like (FRS and trials also)

So, its common knowledge that the Jedi is being transformed in a normal profession, but why?
I think that since Jedi became a veteran reward (anyone with 4 months of game can get it easily) the Jedi population has exploded. Now there is more Jedis than most professions in the game, and SOE thinks that doesnt make any sense that one of the most populated professions of SWG be 1.5x stronger than other. Well, whats make gold and diamond be so precious? Their rarity. So, more rare, more precious (or powerful). Jedi is more common nowdays than a dancer, therefore.... (SOE thoughts, not mine)
SOE cant destroy the existing overpopulated Jedis for many reasons (specially commercial) and dont intend to make harder to became one (also for commercial reasons). It seens that their solution is to make all Jedis in game became 0.5x stronger than any player, and will use the excuse that those guys swinging their Lighsabers are not Jedis, but Padawans. This will explain why they are so weak, and why there is so many.
Well, then what? I think SOE will launch a new, improved, and totally different FRS and Trials and give the oportunity to the Padawans to became Knights, Guardians and Masters, in this way re-starting the Jedi career from zero, lets say. If thats what will happen, then the Knight may be 2x stronger than a normal player, a Guardian 3x or 4x stronger and a Master 6x stronger. And they will make this path DIFFICULT (not boring and painfull like grinding or find Peko-Peko Albatross).
The problem with this? Its unfair with the old players. The hologrind players, the players who played a LOT to became 1.5x stronger than any other player. They now have a gimped character, far from their promised 1.5x Jedi.
The solution?
Something like the village, where you could have some columns based on the professions you have hologrinded before the new system came. Perhaps those who had their 'free' columns at Aurillia could receive some quests already done in the new FRS system, or even their Knights already.
Other problem:
The balance with the BHs. If a player is 4x any other, then will be unstoppable. The BHs wll not be able to fight them. And we need to be fair.
The solution to this is to let the BHs group with 2 or 3 others players to take the Jedis Knights, Guardians or Master (a lot of ppl will not like this idea, hehehe). This is a very sensitive matter. There may be other ways to balance this, but we need to let it clear that Jedi MUST be the stronger, since they are the high-end profession. Perhaps it could create a similar rank to the BHs, which makes him stronger also, but never stronger as a Jedi of his same level.
Well, those are some ideas throw, I would like to discuss with you all, and then polish it, to present to SOE, if thats really their idea. I know that Jedi is crap today, I am a Jedi and I know it (I am Master Powers, nuff said :-) ), but we need to throw some ideas, give a vote of confidence to the SOE, that they are not going to shoot their own feet like this, letting the Jedi so down, so helpless, because there is more than one friend of mine who is going to cancel the account if the Jedistays this frightned thing that it is today.

seriously it would be the most awesome thing to make the path very difficult without being boring and just painfull grinding. but trust me i am very sure this will never ever happen. they cant even fix the bugs. how do you think they will come up with something creative?

Well, they have made good quests at Kashyyk and Mustafar, they are learning :-)
I was imagining something like DWB, you know? Difficult, not boring... Yeah, it will have some boring parts (grinding maybe), but not ALL boring like was the trials before, or the path to Jedi itself in hologrind times.
About the fixes of the bugs, I agree with you, but I think that they dont fix it not because they lack the competence or knowledge to do so, but they simply lack the will. (not a good picture, but some bugs are ridiculuous, and I cant believe that the whole SOE team cant fix it)

Allicce, not a village.... Do you know that there was trials right? It was not a village..... The village is boring, with some degree of fun, but not many.
Thre will be trials (who I hope will not be a new village system).
If not by quests, to improve in the Jedi Ranking, what would be your idea? Grind? Kill more Bols?

the current path to jedi is lame, tedious, annoying, and un-starwarsy... it should be replaced... and i can't believe you are actually suggesting yet ANOTHER village, are you insane?

You got it wrong, I was speaking about the veterans, who didnt need do make the village when hologrinded almost all professions, they just got their columns at the village, for free. Its exactly the opposite of making the village, they escaped this torture.
They deserve to not make the quests like the others. The only thing LIKE the village is this, got it? The chanceof escape it for being a hologrinder.
Precisely NOT a new village, the opposite of this.... They wouldnt need to make quests (and those quests, which veterans didnt need to make, would not be like the village at all).
Therefore, no more village!!! A new quest system, not boring like the village, which veterans of old hologrind would make only if they want (or maybe they would need to make only a few).

There should be a penelty for showing Jedi abilities in a static city! Order 66 is still active!!!

Ppl, you have to read it all, before making a statement. I am not suggesting a new village, for godsake, its exactly the opposite!!! I want a fun system, not a boring one like this. The only thing equal the village is that you will not need to make it if you are a hologrind!!!!
Please, read it to not distort, read it all!!! When I speak of a new trial and FRS system TOTALLY different of the old, this means... TOTALLY different, and when I speak that would be cool quests, but difficult, I Mean DIFFERENT of the village insanity and their boring quests and grinding!!

I agree, being a Jedi for almost 2 years now. I would have to admit. After grinding all you can do is PVP, I mean sure there are quests and pilot. But after that.......its pvp......Reason why I left
