Possibly dropping Improved Force Armor.
for more defender.
What line would you guys get?

Currently im 4-0-4-0 Defender
would you go:
4-4-4-0
or
4-0-4-4

Thanks in advance.
ps: I am pushing towards getting moreinitiate Armor

Actually, I would have picked this normally. However, a bug has recently been found that says that Ranged defense only works if holding a Ranged Weapons (same for melee)... so I suggest 4044

4044 doesnt have the innate armor, this is worth more than the 0004 tree. Also I think you will find that the ranged / melee def issue is related to foods not the skills.

Have no post but the discussion started on the chef boards. If it was the skill then most of the boards would be on fire.

Actually the skill is bugged, hence the sticky in this forum. If you're HOLDING a melee weapon, your melee def skill comes into play, only if you're holding a RANGED weapon will your ranged def mod come into play. This is obviously against what most people believed to be intended, as most presumed ranged def was your def against ranged attacks and the same for melee.

As i said read through the thread, lots of testing has been done to validate the authenticity of this data.

Everyone I know who's a defender has dropped master as AI isn't enough use, and the ranged/melee thing is different than once thought. most are now 4040 defender as the Valour just isn't much use and have instead picked up Imp Force Armour. One friend who has the valour line sais it's a waste of time for him so he's picking up the innate line instead, he's got 2 more boxes worth of XP to fill then we can test it out again fully.

I'd say test it out tho, it's hardly much work to get a whole line a couple times, I know most fully templated friends are now capped out on XP so switching and then changing back shouldn't be too much of a pain, and they continue to support the lower level jedi and other chars grinding for different reasons.

I tried 4044 defender... didn't like it at all to be honist, after that I went 4440 defender and WOW! Innate armor and alot of ranged defense makes a HUGE difference.

thats weird b/c FA gives you more innate armor!!

hmm, the one of them that gives Initiate Armor most.
