SoE have a good supplier of magic mushrooms



On a serious note. Going out with this press release now was the last nail in their coffin. While it might have shown promise once the bugs are fixed, professional game reviewers who get their hands on the current game will write it down like napalm on an anthill.



What a major waste of work.

yeah.. the reviewers, the magazines, and the feedback the game is getting at online stores..all 1starred negative reviews. this game is soo **edit**ed. i'd cry if i could, but they brought this on themselves.

Didnt Tiggs come out and say it was a miss print of an add. So they out right lied to us about what they were planning on doing.

yeah she did, but as you can see.. she's been fired.. or so its been said. so i assume she was told to cover up..

I'll still give it a shot, but can't do much if I'm the only subscriber lol.

What sucks is I have no desire to be an elf/goblin/whatever.

WoW maybe a good game but it just doesn't appeal to me, LOTR same thing, and no way in hell will I ever be a trekkie.

What am I gonna do with all this free time now?

hey nil just wondering about a previous post great one, is there any way to get both vet robes on one char? I really like both of them would be neat to be able to change robes when u get tired of seeing brown and white = )

Been playing since game released and havent been able to try NGE, u guys really think game is doomed?
I believe it is, people started this game cause it was diff now its just poop?

No, you can only pick one as reward for the quest you receive as a respeced Jedi.



And I believe that SOE only had one card to play to the press to save the game, and they played it far to early.



if they wantto present a fast-paced and involving action-style fps/rpg they also need a proper interface that feels good to play. Unfortunate, if you ask me, the NGE is extremely bulky and downright annoying, even for an experienced FPS / Diablostyle player like me. You can read more about my personal opinions on this here.



Dont get me wrong. I have hopes in theese things getting better later on... but the press wont, and it's only the press that can bring life back to the game.

People might give Star Wars a second chance... but it's going to be short, swift and brutal with an already bad first impression in mind. And they wont be a third chance.

Ive had quite a bit of experience with games like the NGE seems to be (diable ripoffs) and quite frankly the controls on it, and the system on which you select specials is not to good, its impossible to use properly without some form of gamepad. The targeting is also quite bulky along with the rate of fire.

The ability for ranged to "spray fire" without having to either let the weapon cool down or replace power cells. Its similar to if the chain fed machine gun in Battlefield 2 could constantly shoot without getting overheated or having to replace clips.

The interface for those of us who are used to being able to just type and have it appear in the chatbox is annoying along with alot of bugs that need fixing.

Add to that the fact that the game now holds no real reason to stay playing as a fan of the RPG style combat rather than FPS i think this was a bad choice. The NGE needs atleast 5 months more work on it, to merge the styles of play more.
