That was before the robes gave y ou an actively running force "buff" so i would imagine they could be right about the vis.

Only the activation of Force buffs gives visibility. You dont get visibility by just having Force Speed active, you only get it for activating Force Speed close by other players / NPCs. So I guess only putting on the robe gives visibility, not wearing it.
I havent tested this out and I usually dont wear my robes in populated areas, but I have had groups driving by me while I had my robe equipped and have yet to see a BH.

If you have an infusion running, that in itself will not give you vis. However if the infusion runs out and your macro starts it again that will give you vis. Same for any action that modifies your force bar, eg tuning crystals, hitting a mob. I believe donning your robes also gives you vis, but walking past players/npcs with them having been equipped previously will not.

There is a question as to whether cloak gives vis or not as it eats force according to the number of people around you.

Group members do not give vis regardless of what you do (vis from group members was taken out shortly after CU), howevre any NPC's will. Non Character Mobs - eg pickets, do not give vis (obviously)

So short answer - if you don your robes in the wilderness with noone except group members around then you will not get vis. If you don them in dant MO then you almost certainly will. However if you are grinding on Dantooine in spin groups then the point is somwhat moot anyway due to the number of drive by visings you will get although its still a good idea to try and keep it to a minimum.

Hope thats enough info, hope its mostly correct.

not sure since last patch but these would give you vis:

1. equpping or unequipping robe and / or lightsaber with players or player npc's within 32m. if you are in a group those players will not give you vis.

2. using your lightsaber or any force attacks with players or player npc's within 32m. if you are in a group those players will not give you vis.

3. the activation of any force defense / heal skill / force skill.... ie. aura, valor, infusion, speed, force run, etc etc. same rules apply as stated above.

people got so used to being in spin groups and grinding on double xp and respecs that they forgot how to play 'safe' and constantly have their looping macros and spinning lairs without checking for NPC's in the area. even getting careless and joining / leaving the group when the rest of the group is in attack mode will cause vis.

The other vis stuff i know well, didnt know this equip think with the robe, also the guy told me csr confirmed it to him that robe is perma vis now.

Thats all i wanted know, if u go spinning where lots of others spinning people are u going big risc to get vis. Iam 99% sure i get it tonite from guys driving trough us while spinning, but with those fast xp why u should be carefull like in old days.

Activate vis only by a piece of cloth because maybe u want control ur harvesters would be a bit stupid and harvesters gives no xp

yes u get vis with the equip and unequip of your robe or saber since this uses force like robes give extra so it causes u to regen. also using any power that requires the use of force within 32 m of a npc or player not grouped.
