if you have TK powerboost line, just get channel. Your ham regens faster than force meditate can, plus you can continue to kill mobs.
But to answer your question, it doubles your regen

It was triple on TC2. I don't have it on live but I haven't heard that it changed.

either way double or triple, you have to stop and meditate. I have zero downtime with channel and TK powerboost line. I will eventually get it since i cant keep the TK powerboost line forever.

"Either way" doesn't answer the question in the original post.

Oh, and I have 0 downtime as well, and I don't have either. I took master swordsman instead of TK (doing 1h sabre which has head hit, and swordsman has head hit as well).
I have 1004 sabre, and novice in all the jedi profs. With a 1.6k force pool and a 6fc sabre I had to spam specials non-stop for hours just to get my pool down to half. I swapped out my higher damage and higher fc pearl and stuck in one with lower damage and lower fc, and with a 4fc sabre I regen faster than I drain.

This was tested extensively and posted several times on this forum during the revamp testing. I verified it myself a dozen times on TC2.
So no...I am -not- speculating...like you.

[EDIT: Typo correction. Second was supposed to be "5fc" not "4fc".]

Its all relative, u fight small creatures with a weak saber for same xp as a better saber on larger creatures.
I have 3/3/4/4 saber and 0/0/0/2 enhancer. With channel i do not need to go up to meditate right off the bat and can spend my xp mastering something else. I have a 3rd gen with 11fc, I spam all day on rancor and dont have a problem with regen either..

If you don't have a problem with regen, then why do you need to channel?
