Thread: Any good rpg's out there?

Anyone with a suggestion on what would be a good replacement to SWG? I want to get into something else and I liked the community here. The most posts with the same suggestion would help me in making my decision. Thanks.

Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 should keep you busy for a few weeks and its as good as an RPG can get.

lol try like 2days, tops. you gotta factor in the "goodness", that makes you not want to stop playing until you find out the end.

The team from mythic who made DAOC are working on a new MMORPG, it will be mostly skill based, have good crafting and unlike SOE mythic has 2 things going for them.
1. They listen to their customers
2. when they do big changes to the game it gets servers with "classic"

Well....I guess you could play both of them in 2 days...maybe...if you don't actually read the dialogue and use a walkthrough...but why? I played both of them through twice...once as a Light Jedi and then as a Dark Jedi and it took about a month to do them both right.

Iol, Mythic listening to their customers? They listened when WOW came out cause they lost people by the handfuls. The 2 years or so before then they were no different than SOE is now.

Ya I'm looking for a new game too.
Thought about Matrix Online but I don't think it can fill SWG's place.
What about LOTR online? last I looked it was still being developed...
WoW will never be my choice,neither will EQ2...
Any good game around?....

was it just me? i beat the first one in about 13-15hours, thats with reading the dialog, and without using a walkthrough(who needs that anyway), and doing every side quest i thought would be fun, like the bounty hunting.. that really should have been more missions. i played the first one through about 4 times, once light and dark, as male and female. the 2nd one i went through only once as i think grey...or i was end at the end, can't remember.
