Thread: 3 BH's Vs. 1 Jedi ... is this supposed to happen ?

Hi there, I am a full template Jedi and while attacking an Imperial Player city with my fellow Rebels. I suddenly notice my health going down rapidly. I then notice upon looking at my Combat Tab that it appears I have a BH after me, looking closer at it, 2 BH's. I am a post-cu Jedi and after Tuning approximately 53 pearls, even more crystals, using master saber, 12 pt suit, Research city, Weaponsmith Buff, Food, Drink, etc. I managed to make an amazing saber with a 340.2dps, 560max damage and 18 force cost... May I also add that I am a full template Jedi. Master saber, 3402 enhancer, 4040 defender and 4000 healer. With Aura up and Force armour one particular BH was hitting me for 531 damage,..... is this possible considering the defences I had activated? The same BH was also healing all damage that I did manage to hit out with one heal every few seconds. He also managed to keep me snared just over 50% of the time
Cut a long story short, after ten mins I eventually managed to get away after quickly knocking them down and force supressing them. I shuttle back to my player city and stayed in the house. On the roof I may add as several BH on my server use the exploit where they can Eject u from player structures. I have been told that on the roof is a safe place. Could anyone confirm this?
Anyway, while on the roof and discussing my encounter with Friends I notice a little blue dot approaching my house. What do I find ? Yet another BH, (3 altogether for any Devs who cannot count) who is asking me to come out to play..... I cannot even cause enough damage to 1 Bh to kill him. How can I defend myself against three ? I thought there was a cool down timer or something that stopped three bh's from taking a mission on you at once? Any help would be much appreciated. thank you

Just be gratful you got away , after the ToO expansion your dead.

Let em kill you then go kill some pickets for a hour or two and then stay off the terms.

Why should I let him kill me to stay of the terms? Remind me how much of this game involves NPC's. To stay of the terminals I would have to simply spin pikets for the rest of my Jedi days. I cannot think of one quest or anything in the game worth doing that does not involve NPC's ...
PLease correct me if I am wrong

I say they are implementing the old ways where like a group would come after a jedi and the jedi could actually win most of the time. Perhaps thats what the yare doing to bring back jedi's power. Waiting for them to complain to bring their power up.

working as intended.
There is nothing to stop multiple BH from taking your mission.
That they are figuring out how to organize this tactic is not surprising.
Fight, or run. Die, or survive.
I will choose to fight, as my master taught me. The experience I have gained by doing this has served me well.

Bring back the old way to bring Jedi power back up? When does it get back to the bit where they bring Jedi power back? I am fed up of weilding a fancy coloured fly swatter. I am a paying SOE customer like everyone else. If not to kill should I not have access to a weapon that enables me to defence myself? ....

You are complaining about Bounty Hunters? You chose to go a profession that is plainly laid out in it's description that Bounty Hunters will come after you.
Leave your Jedi behind, grind your alt to a regular template, and quit complaining about the intended system.

I think the point is not that they are being hunted by bh...but that jedi has been nerfed to make a 1 on 1 viable. Then 3 on 1 becomes very unbalanced. If up to 5 bh can attack a single jedi, then the jedi has to be able to have a chance at winning. if there is no chance, it's unbalanced. And we all know they promised to BALANCE the pvp with the CU.

beastmistress, I am well aware of the BH vs. Jedi system. I am all for it but the combat upgrade was supposed to bring balance to Jedi, bring them down to regular professions. I cannot even fight 1 BH if I were to try. I have no choice but to run. I am not against Bh's attacking me. All I want is for equal combat chances as everyone else in the game in defeating another combat profession. Considering the amount of grinding involved I dont think it is fair that I weild a 340dps Lightsaber where Bh's weild weapons that have well over 600dps and can loot the resources to make these weapons (enhancer power cells) every fourth day is enough BH missions are taken. How often can a Jedi loot resources to make an Uber weapon? Oh ... wait a minute, they cant! As they were disabled after the combat upgrade

Another trick I have seen the BH's use: ( this is for remote areas ) 1 BH comes at you, while another stays out of radar range. Then after you are engaged with the first BH, the 2nd comes running in. They figure a Jedi is more likely to stay and fight with 1 BH, but if they saw 2 at the same time, they'd run. There is no doubt they are working as a team, considering they are from the same guild.SOE just needs to get their act together and get us a FRS so we can become more than just Padawans and actually stand a chance against multiple BH's.

Multiple BH can happy very easily. If there are very few jedi on then your mission will be easily selected by 2-3 BH just by pure random chance. I had 4 bh in a 30 min span. 2 attacked within 10 sec of each other. Now this doesnt happen often but still does happen. Just be happy that you were able to run away. And enjoy the game.
