I would say you may be correct EXCEPT that someone at LucasArts has designed coverart for this product.

Yes, it has the wrong description, but if you click on the maker of the game you'll see its really LucasArts and you'll see all the other LucasArts games to prove it. Some person didnt just make that coverart and put it up on ebay.

totally agree.... like ive said before... always too often people focus on negative...to the point or searching it out and seeing even when it doesn't exsist...


its a shame this is part of the human condition... fortunatly it is learned behavior... and as Ive always been a person to ask "why" and not blindly accept any programming .... Im often at odds and confused by some pplz irrational behaviour...


goes back to the question I ask that no one ever answers........ who and where was it set in law that Jedi are a pvP profession.... actually we as light Jedi should be helpers and yes some pvp to protect others from the evil sith.... but not to run through a GCW battlefiled killing soldiers in a war that doen't want us

Whatever. It still concerns me that my local Best Buy store says they'll be selling the SWG Start Kit on November 23rd.

Sure, Tiggs said the Amazon.com ad was erroneous -- but that doesn't mean there won't be a SWG Starter Kit coming in November...

Which also helps to prove my point Everitt, only Amazon has box art for the product. No other place I have looked at has box art for the product, or just uses the old Star Wars Galaxies box art for it. Compare that to a game like Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess which is released in April of 2006 and all of the outlets has box art for it. It's a double edge sword

For some reason this is what I think it is.....


The amazon listing had the wrong details, thats a given. So forget that.


The other websites I have seen elude to this.....


The "Starter Kit" is the Original SWG + JTL. It costs 20 bucks. The "Total Experience" includes SWG/JTL/ROTW and costs around 30ish bucks. I have a feeling that soon we will see a "Super-Duper-Deluxe Total Experience" that will Include SWG/JTL/ROTW/ToOW and will run around 50 bucks and will probably include some perk that us Vet's have been asking for since day 1.


I doubt this is some new game, or even new content (unless they change it so the new player tutorial gets them as far as CL30 or something. There's no mention of being a Jedi from the get go either. I think the "Starter Kit" is exactly what it claims to be. SWG + JTL (JTL was originally supposed to be a part of SWG but was pushed back and made into our first expansion.)


That, I can believe. 1 Player offline solo playable with Jedi as a starting prof.. no way.


This would explain why it's being advertised and sold at places like Best Buy, EBgames.. etc.. it does exist. It's just SWG/JTL all in one pack.

Well I for 1 hope it IS real and it includes SWG, JTL, ROTW, AND ToOW. Why? While I did preorder ToOW and pay 30 when this starter kit might offter it and everything else for only 20, hopefully such a great buy would bring new players to the game, which is good. So I'm going to look beyond the selfishness of saying "its not fair that I paid 30 when they'll get everything for 20" and be glad to have new people comming into SWG.

adtrasia interesting point, I'm about to be completely off topic here but this could apply to the actual numbers of Jedi per galaxy as opposed to the perceived numbers. Most servers Jedi ppulation is anywhere from 10-15% (some rare exceptions of 20%). People only notice the glowsticks.... not the crafters or ranged or regular melee toons... just some food for thought.

The logic behind the orignal post is sound, BUT using your own logic......you are filtering out a very important detail.


Why is it all these sites listing it, will allow you to preorder - accept your cash - and give you confirmation numberfor deliveryofa product you say doesn't exist. Also, if the websites started to hop on the band wagon offering preorders all the time forproduct's thatdon't exist, many people would beoutraged and inturn cause PLENTY of bad press. The major websites aren't run whims and they have access to knowledge that the consumers don't.


Tigg's response more than likely was in response to the details listed for the Amazon version. Outside of that, to deny so many sources seems unrealistic.

I see the logic of your statement about the video but I fail to see how this applies to the starter pack or whatever it is.


Honestly, why should I care about something thats stated as errorness, and even if it isn't, im not concerned about it until its actually here.



What people are doing here is completely realitive to what high school students do. They ponder and worry so much about the future they fail to take in the present.


People need to come to relize that we do not live in the future, we live the in the present.



This game, starter pack, or whatever it is, is not a metor thats threatening the earth, why should we worry about its arrival, expecially since its widely debated if the things even real!

To ignore the fact that the product exists and faithfully believe statements released by SOE at this point are 100% gospel is just like the blind leading the deaf. If SOE has had every opportunityy to respond to this issue and clarify what the starter kit is and has yet to do so then there is something to be concerned with for sure. the only thing they ever released in this game without big fanfare was when they sprung the CURB on us. So it is very likely something they do not want us to know the details of until a later time. Be it that they have a press release date or whether it is something they fear will cause a mass account cancelation like CURB did. Wake up and see the fox in the hen house.
